The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Episode 1 recap- Daryl and Carol reach the Dead city of London
The first episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 finds Daryl and Carol just on the coast of England. The friends soon realise that all the promises made by the Scots were fake, as England is the city of the dead, with nobody alive. Both Daryl and Carol make their way to London, while holding a can of hot dogs, which is meant to be enjoyed on a special day. The duo is welcomed in a destroyed London by a horde of walkers, but they manage to fight back and flee into a nearby apartment.
As they make their way to the apartment's balcony, Daryl and Carol realise that thousands of walkers have surrounded their apartment, and they are stranded in this dead city forever. After two days pass, Carol is just about to open her can of hot dogs as their last meal, when a light shines through the room, signalling that there might be someone alive in the dead city.
Who is Julian Chamberlain in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Season 3, Episode 1?
At night, Daryl and Carol hear the loud thumping on the roof, and they wake up to find a man who introduces himself as Julian Chamberlain. While the duo were initially ready to kill Julian in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Episode 1, he claims that he comes in peace, with rabbits and a single malt for his hungry guests. After Daryl and Carol are convinced, the man introduces himself as Julian Chamberlain, the last man surviving in England, as he had no human contact for ages. While Julian is happy to see humans again, Daryl and Carol do not trust him easily at first, and they empty their drinks on the floor.
After having a few drinks in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Season 3, Episode 1, Julian recounts the early days of the outbreak and how he managed to survive all these years. When he mentions having a boat, Daryl and Carol see this as their chance to go to America. Carol convinces Julian to sail with them, and the three set off to America in their boat, with no knowledge about sailing.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3, Episode 1, ends in a foreign land
Once the three set out to sail in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 Episode 1, Julian realises that his new friends lied about knowing how to sail. Julian struggles to read maps and is confused by the long navigation when a storm hits their boat. At night, the three take turns navigating their boat against the brutal storm and heavy rains, when Julian is knocked down after being concussed. Just when Daryl and Carol brace themselves for the worst, they wake up the next morning and find themselves washed up on a beach shore of a foreign land.
While Daryl is fine, Carol is severely concussed, and Julian is nowhere to be found. However, when Carol sees a man standing near the water, it is revealed that their new friend has been turned into a Walker, who attacks Carol. Daryl finally kills Julian's Walker, and they give his body to the water.
A nearby sign (Costa de la Muerte) indicates to Carol that they have reached Spain, but she is in bad shape. In addition to the concussion, she has a metal shard stuck on her back, which has resulted in a high fever. The friends finally find a nearby cottage after battling with a few Spanish Walkers. Daryl leaves Carol to hunt for food, but she is nowhere to be found when he comes back, hinting at a dire future for our protagonist.
