Jimmi Simpson is the latest to join the cast of AMC's post-apocalyptic drama series The Walking Dead: Dead City as a series regular, as the show gears up for a return with its third season.
Dead City is one of the spin-off projects of The Walking Dead, bringing back Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Maggie Greene and Negan, respectively. Simpson will join the cast as Dillard, but the character details are still under wraps. The third season is currently being filmed in Boston, alongside other filming locations in Massachusetts.
The Walking Dead: Dead City has not received an official release date yet, and the network hasn't revealed plot details. However, it is expected to follow Maggie and Negan desperately trying to escape Manhattan.
