The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 4: A quick rundown

In the previous episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City titled Fiesty Friendly, the Croat, the Dama, and Negan finally meet Bruegel, the ruthless art collector in the Metropolitan Museum. The meeting started on a rocky note, as the Croat was not quite so jealous of Bruegel's success, as he kept bragging about his powers. Bruegel mocked the Croat for his accent, while the Croat made fun of his walker, using steroids to win the battles.

Before things could escalate into a fiery altercation, Negan interfered and asked that there be a battle to decide the result. If Negan's walker wins the competition, Bruegel has to give in to their demands, and if Bruegel wins, they have to agree to the construction of a second methane plant.

Elsewhere, Maggie, Perlie, and Hershel infiltrated the museum, and Hershel set a 200-year-old painting on fire to cause a commotion. In the chaos, Maggie met Negan. In the emotional confrontation, Negan gave away the location of the methane plant and gave a tip that Hershel used the smoke signal to alert the Dama. Even though Maggie did not believe him initially, when she saw the Dama, she realized that Hershel might have been influenced by the woman. How? It was the Dama's face in most of Hershel's sketches. The viewers also come to know via Benjamin Pierce that the Dama was a theatre critic in the pre-apocalyptic times and even had a physical confrontation with a writer, which caused her downfall.

In the intense battle, Negan's walker lost to Bruegel's candidate. However, Negan knew that something was fishy with Bruegel's candidate- he soon realised it was human and not a walker. Negan whispered something into Bruegel's ears. This threat made Bruegel accept the Dama's offer. The Dama was quite elated with Negan's move and even asked him to sit beside her in the car. This made the Croat quite furious. On the other hand, Maggie was too shocked to believe Hershel's connection to the Dama. Bruegel's candidate for the fight was his bodyguard, Tony. Bruegel killed Tony to avoid any further leaks.

The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 5: Sneak peek ahead

The synopsis of the upcoming episode reads,

"Maggie and Negan travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland; the crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty and terror."

The trailer begins with Negan and the Dama and later visits Christos to propose an alliance. On the other hand, Bruegel appears to find Hershel, while the New Babylon forces seem to be in action under a new Marshal. Meanwhile, we also see that the power across the city is cut. The episode thus sets up major confrontations between the city's fractured factions.
