What is the plot of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” Season 1?

The show begins with Maggie tracking Negan down to ask for his help. Negan murdered her husband Glenn years ago, and despite the history, Maggie turns to him for help. A violent warlord from Manhattan, The Croat, kidnapped Maggie’s son, Hershel. Negan is wanted for murder, and he's traveling with a mute girl named Ginny. They venture to Manhattan, which has basically become a dead city. Together, they are under threat from both the humans and the zombies.
The Croat was once a member of Negan’s group, the Saviors, and Maggie and Negan face a chaotic city that has been decimated by the apocalypse. There are Walkers at every corner, and now they move in herds rather than alone. There's tension between Maggie and Negan, who are only allies out of necessity. Maggie can't forgive him for murdering her husband, and Negan is in a deep moral dilemma himself, struggling to keep up between his past and present selves. The show revolves around Maggie and Negan making their way to the Croat for the ultimate showdown.
Negan Smith in “The Walking Dead: Dead City"
Negan Smith is one of the most iconic characters in the The Walking Dead franchise. He was introduced as the main antagonist in season 6. Negan used to lead the Saviors, a dangerous and ruthless group that oppressed other human communities in the post-apocalyptic world. Negan is usually seen with his baseball bat laced with barbed wire, and he's infamous for killing fan favourite characters like Glenn and Abraham.
Negan’s character goes through a massive shift after being captured by Rick Grimes’ group, and he slowly tries to follow the right path. Negan later joins the good guys, and his journey from a ruthless tyrant to an antihero is one of the most engaging subplots in the series. In The Walking Dead: Dead City, Negan stays on his arc of an antihero, helping Maggie despite their complex and traumatic history.
