"Anticipate each other's moves": Culinary Class Wars judge Paik Jong-won on cheftestants’ strategy during the Round 4 One-on-One Life-or-Death match

Culinary Class Wars Episode 10 featured the exciting One-on-One Life-of-Death match from round 4. After the announcer revealed the twist for selecting the opponents, it shocked everyone.

Soon, they learned about the ingredients twist before starting the round. The participating chefs talked about their opponents in their confessionals. In the previous round, they were each other's teammates. So, it was hard for them to go against each other.

While round 4 was about to start, the judges, Paik Jong-won and Anh Sung-jae, talked about the teams.

"You know, during the first challenge, they were allies, so they must have spent a lot of time talking about the ingredients they're using. So now, they should be able to anticipate each other's moves," said Paik Jong-won.

Cheftestants open up about competing against their former teammates

Culinary Class Wars Season 2 Episode 10 started with the announcer revealing the twists for round 4. For the One-no-One Life-or-Death match, former teammates were turned against each other as opponents.

The participating chefs and the viewing chefs were shocked to learn that information. Later, the cheftestants also learned that they would have to share their ingredients from the previous round.

As the announcer revealed twists, tension grew, and chefs got concerned about the results. Those who do not win this round wouldn't get a second chance. They would be eliminated from the competition.

"I was given a second chance, and I made it this far. There's no bad blood. Now, we're parting ways. At this point, I think I'm allowed to be a little selfish," one of the cheftestants confessed.

Culinary Class Wars star Kim Hee-Eun, who was supposed to go against her former teammate, Vulnerable Sunjae, hugged her.

In her private confession, Vulnerable Sunjae noted:

"For us, the competition should be friendly. So I hope we don't turn on each other. Perhaps, my philisophy as a monk is too positive, but that's how I see it."

Another Culinary Class Wars chef noted that the situation was kind of sad. The chefs who were going against each other shook hands and wished each other good luck.

"We shouldn't be stressed about it. We should just have fun," one more chef confessed.

Soon, the announcer noted that One-on-One Life-or-Death Match Round 4 was about to begin. Participating chefs started to sort their ingredients for the upcoming round.

Because they had already been allies, they must know each other's way of working. As a result, cheftestants must be able to know more about each other's strategies.
