What happened in The Winning Try Episode 5-6?

The previous episodes of The Winning Try were intense and, at the same time, entertaining. From the revelation of Ga-ram’s illness to I-ji failing to be selected for the nationals, the episodes showed significant growth in several storylines.

With Ga-ram’s health scare becoming more and more prevalent, several people have found out about it. However, none of them appear to be among the ones who would snitch this to the vice principal. Further, Ga-ram also begins to train his team not just for qualifying but for winning the National championships.

He fixes a game with a pro team called, OK rugby team, for whom he used to play at one time, against whom the team scores more than 10 points. With training and making them better at playing rugby, the relationships between the team and their coach also improve as they have begun to trust him.

However, the episode ends with Ju Ga-ram collapsing and I-ji finding out that he has been suffering from Myasthenia Gravis, which makes his muscles weaker. This is the reason behind his taking the drugs before his matches in the past, due to which he was called out for doping.

Episodes 7 and 8 of The Winning Try will explore more about how I-ji would react to this news. Moreover, it will also be important episodes as the Hangyang rugby team will face Daesang for a qualifying match that would decide whether they would be able to achieve the impossible target that Ga-Ram has set for them.
