Netflix releases the official trailer for The Witcher Season 4
The Witcher Season 4 trailer teases Vilgefortz gathering an army of dark forces. Geralt then gears up to fight him and save Princess Ciri. In his mission, he is joined by his friends Jaskier and Yennefer of Vengerberg. Meanwhile, new characters have joined the team, including Regis, played by Laurence Fishburne.
The trailer features a voiceover by Fishburne, who highlights how Geralt is becoming something new and is about to have a rebirth while something shifts on the continent. Meanwhile, the footage also shows some action-packed shots as the group comes across various threats while searching for Ciri. The official synopsis of The Witcher Season 4 reads:
“After the Continent-altering events of Season 3, Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri find themselves separated by a raging war and countless enemies. As their paths diverge and their goals sharpen, they stumble on unexpected allies eager to join their journeys. And if they can accept these found families, they just might have a chance at reuniting for good.”
What makes the upcoming season different is that Liam Hemsworth has stepped into the shoes of Geralt after Henry Cavill decided to say goodbye to the show after three seasons. Talking about his characters and his casting in the show, the actor said in a statement to Tudum:
“I was such a big fan of this character, so it was a bit of those pinch-yourself moments of walking around in this costume. We pick up Geralt having just left Brokilon, he’s with Milva and Jaskier, and his main driving force is to get to Ciri and make sure that she’s safe.”
Apart from Hemsworth, the fourth season stars Anya Chalotra as Yennefer of Vengerberg, Joey Batey as Jaskier, Freya Allan as Ciri, Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz of Roggeveen, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, Meng’er Zhang as Milva, Cassie Clare as Philippa, Mimî M Khayisa as Fringilla, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, and Sharlto Copley as Leo Bonhart, among others.
All episodes of The Witcher Season 4 will be released on Netflix on October 30, 2025.
