“There is no need to apologise to me” – Love Island UK’s Emma responds to Helena’s emotional regret

Love Island UK’s Emma Munro has broken her silence after Helena Ford expressed regret for not believing her during the explosive events surrounding Harry Cooksley. The drama unfolded following the show’s Grafties award ceremony.

During the episode, Helena admitted she wished she could apologize to Emma after watching clips of Harry flirting with multiple women, including Emma, Shakira Khan, and Angel Swift. Helena’s comments came after Emma had earlier tried to warn her about Harry’s actions in the villa. Responding via TikTok after the last episode aired, Emma said,

“Hey guys, I’m just jumping on here to address tonight’s episode where Helena said she owes me an apology. I just wanted to say that she absolutely doesn’t, there is no need to apologise to me for how she spoke to me. We both could have handled things better and I’m no angel.”

She added that there was no bad blood between them, saying,

“So no need to apologise, all good, no bad blood.”

Emma Munro’s comments on TikTok were made shortly after the latest episode of Love Island UK, which featured Helena’s emotional remarks. Helena had told fellow islanders that she wished she could apologise to Emma for previously dismissing her concerns about Harry.

The moment was triggered after the Grafties ceremony aired unseen footage of Harry admitting feelings for his ex and making flirtatious comments to several other women behind Helena’s back. Emma, who was brought into the villa during Casa Amor, had earlier tried to inform Helena about Harry telling her he still loved her.

However, Helena didn’t believe her at the time and chose to stay coupled with Harry. Following Helena’s change of stance and admission of regret, Emma clarified that she held no resentment.

The conflict in Love Island UK began when Harry Cooksley, who had been coupled up with Helena Ford, was seen during the Grafties award show footage flirting with several women, including Shakira Khan, Angel Swift, and Emma Munro. One particularly damaging clip revealed Harry telling Emma that he still loved her before she was dumped from the Love Island UK villa.

Emma had previously tried to disclose this conversation to Helena, but her concerns were dismissed. Helena was shown reacting to the footage, saying she felt “stupid” and repeatedly embarrassed by Harry’s behaviour. In one of the clips, Harry was seen joking with Emma about going on a date and potentially winning the show together, which caused visible distress to Helena.

Helena told Harry during the confrontation in Love Island UK, “You’re a f*****g joke, Harry,” after watching the scenes play out. Harry questioned, “Why am I a joke?” to which Helena responded,

“Every single time you get up on the screen, you just embarrass me every time, I feel stupid. After every single conversation I have to watch you have with people.” She continued, “I didn’t expect you to be sitting with your ex-girlfriend and saying you’ll get back into bed with one another on the outside. You just don’t shut things down, you entertain everything and everyone.”

The confrontation came just days after Helena and Harry had gone exclusive in the Love Island UK villa. The final blow came when Helena said on-screen, “I’ll never be with you,” and walked away after confronting Harry about his feelings for Shakira.

Meanwhile, after returning from Casa Amor, Emma chose to get to know Conor Phillips rather than rekindle any romance with Harry. Conor brought Emma back to the main villa, whereas Harry opted to stay coupled with Helena. Despite this, Harry and Emma continued to have flirty conversations, further straining his relationship with Helena.

On the same Love Island UK episode, Helena and Shakira appeared to bond over their shared frustration with Harry. Helena told the girls, “He needs to go home,” to which Shakira responded supportively.

As the fallout continued, Harry found himself isolated in the Love Island villa. His best friend Dejon Noel-Williams, and other islanders distanced themselves, prompting Harry to take his pillow outside and sleep on the day beds alone.
