7) Zack Johnson

Zack Johnson (Brian Thomas Smith) first appeared in The Big Bang Theory Season 3, episode 23, as Penny’s occasional boyfriend. Penny dated Zack after Leonard, which resulted in her finding his obliviousness impossible to tolerate. Throughout his appearances, Penny dated him several times.

Even if Leonard didn’t like him, he became friendly with the boys due to his non-aggressive nature and even helped them win the best group costume at Stuart’s New Year’s Eve party by dressing up as Superman and completing their Justice League. Scenes with Zack were always comedy gold and he deserved more screen time.

6) Randall

After being mentioned since the first season of The Big Bang Theory, Penny’s brother, Randall (Jack McBrayer), finally appeared in Season 10 episode 1 for Penny and Leonard’s vow renewal. His appearance surprised many as Penny had shared that her brother went to prison for cooking meth.

However, Randall appeared to be sweet but created awkward moments for his mother by publicly discussing his prison time and meth cooking. He also thanks his mother for the new teeth, suggesting that he did not just cook but also consumed his product, resulting in tooth decay. Other than being mentioned, Randall’s appearance would have been a great addition with added fun with McBrayer’s performance.

5) Alice

Courtney Ford’s Alice appeared in Season 5 of The Big Bang Theory in episode 7. While the boys were also buying comics, Alice entered the comic book store, and Stuart initially tried to talk to her but failed.

Alice then begins talking to Leonard, as he has the comic book she wanted to buy. She begins by asking if she has to flirt to take the comic from him, and Leonard replies with a witty answer by saying it would mean her using her superpowers for evil things. After the sweet encounter, Alice gives him her number, and they meet up at Sheldon’s apartment, where Alice impresses Leonard by showing him her own comics.

While it didn’t end well as Leonard was already dating, Alice was one of the most compatible women that came into Leonard’s life, and giving her more screen time would have added more to the storyline.

4) Leslie Winkle

The experimental Physicist, Dr. Leslie Winkle, was one of Leonard’s on-again, off-again girlfriends and Sheldon’s biggest nemesis in the earlier seasons. Leslie was one of Sheldon’s competitors as well after she solved one of Sheldon’s problems and questioned his intelligence.

Having Leslie in more episodes and for more time would have highlighted more of their animosity and perhaps a friendship later on. Furthermore, another woman in science who could compete with the boys would have made the show more exciting.

3) Amy’s parents

Amy’s parents were played by Teller and Kathy Bates in The Big Bang Theory, first appearing in the Season 11 finale, to attend Amy and Sheldon’s wedding. However, they were mentioned or appeared through a webcam in previous seasons.

The Fowlers were surely a comedic duo where Mr. Fowler couldn’t talk as his wife answered questions that were asked to him, before him, resulting in him being silent for most of the episode. However, they became familiar with the group of friends later, and it would have been great to see the Fowlers find love in their marriage, which would have resulted in more screen time.

2) Mrs. Wolowitz

Howard’s mother never physically appeared on screen in The Big Bang Theory, but her presence was felt by everyone due to her loud, New Jersey-accented voice. Initially, it appears that Mrs. Wolowitz was over-controlling her son.

However, we later get to know how lonely Mrs. Wolowitz was and wanted her son around so that she could take care of him. She even replaces Raj with Howard when he goes to check on her after her breakup. Fans would have to see Mrs. Wolowitz appear on screen and get a face behind the loud voice.

1) Missy Cooper

Sheldon Cooper’s fraternal twin sister, Missy, first showed up in episode 15 of season 1. With a contrasting personality from Sheldon, Missy created her own space in the show, mainly in the spinoff. In the episode, the other guys try to flirt with her and ask her out, but thanks to Penny, she saves him by letting her spend time in her apartment and also gets along with her.

She became a beloved character in Young Sheldon and would have been a great addition to TBBT if she was given more screen time, as, apart from the usual conflicts between siblings, Missy was proud of Sheldon.
