The Amazing Race Season 37's host Phil Keoghan opened up about the show's current season and the remaining final four teams in his May 12, 2025, interview with TVLine. Fans must remember exciting challenges and moments, including a Fast Forward, Driver's Seat twist, non-elimination leg, the cheese task, pizza making, and more throughout The Amazing Race.
Recalling the twists and turns that fans have witnessed until now, as they wait for the finale, show host Phil Keoghan talked about the final four teams. He said that the latest season of the CBS show is "unique" and that various tasks have worked out "pretty well."
"This particular season was unique. We started off with having surprises in every single episode, and I think that worked pretty well, (but) it was back to the things that everybody loves."

In his latest interview with TVLine, Phil talked about the surprises that they added in each of the episodes. He stated that despite the "hiccups," fans have been talking about the "simple things" featured throughout various challenges of different legs.
"No matter what kind of twists and turns and hiccups we put into the show, at the end of the day, the things (fans) really talk about the most are the simple things: the self-driving, the airport drama and the fundamental elements of The Amazing Race, which is going to new places and doing new things with new people," said Phil.
He also shared his views on the final four teams, which include: Han and Holden, Ana and Jonathan, Josiah and Alyssa, and Carson and Jack.
For the sibling duo, Han and Holden, Phil mentioned the team "surprised" many people after witnessing them reaching this stage in the competition. At first, he wasn't sure whether Han and Holden were going to go "as far as they have." However, he witnessed the brother-sister duo's confidence.
For Jonathan and Ana, Phil said that they were the "most controversial" team of the season.
"With Jonathan and Anna, probably the most controversial team that we've had this season, they've obviously been struggling in their relationship. They wanted to come onto this show, I think, to test things," he said.
He added that Ana and Jonathan are one of the "very strong" teams and that he is the "most competitive."
Talking more about the finalists, The Amazing Race host, Phil also mentioned Josiah and Alyssa. He said the duo "complement" each other quite well and that they listen to each other. According to Phil, they have a "good shot" at winning the competition.
Carson and Jack, as Phil stated, are having a "great time" while competing against such strong teams:
"The teams I really love are the ones that are in it to have a lot of fun and who find their flow by having fun. They're one of those teams. They've laughed and they've enjoyed the experience."
He added that he "really loves" the attitude from Carson and Jack and how they have been enjoying being in the race.
CBS will premiere The Amazing Race Season 37's final two episodes on May 14 and 15, 2025.
