British actress Jodie Turner-Smith, who was part of The Acolyte cast, will soon star in Star Wars: Visions, another creative project set in the Star Wars universe in recent years.
The Acolyte was one of the television shows that offered a new interpretation of the stories set within the Star Wars universe. It featured a stellar cast of Amandla Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, Lee Jung-jae, Dafne Keen, and Carrie-Anne Moss, among others. Jodie Turner-Smith was also a crucial part of the storyline as Mother Aniseya.
The show received mainly positive reviews from critics, but fans were not as kind. Their underwhelming response and a subsequent backlash reportedly made some of its cast rethink being a part of this franchise in the future. However, despite those issues with its reception, Jodie Turner-Smith will be a part of another Star Wars project.
The British actress will star in the third season of Star Wars: Visions, according to StarWars.com. The outlet also revealed the episode she will be starring in, besides her castmates, the logline, and more. Titled The Bounty Hunters, the episode comes from the creative vision of WIT studio, and its logline reads:
"A rogue bounty hunter takes on a job for a shady industrialist that has unexpected consequences for her and her droid."
