Netflix’s latest international addition to its reality dating lineup, Too Hot To Handle: Spain, premiered on June 13, 2025, and brought a new set of ten single contestants into a luxurious villa under false pretenses. Believing they’ve signed up for a steamy dating show called Masters of Seduction.
The participants soon discover they’re part of Too Hot To Handle: Spain, where the rules are strict, the temptations are many, and a €100,000 prize is on the line. The twist? Any form of se*ual contact—including kissing, touching, or s*x—will reduce the total prize.
Hosted by Spanish model and television personality Alba Carrillo and overseen by the virtual assistant Lana, Too Hot To Handle: Spain is designed to challenge emotional maturity rather than physical attraction.
Too Hot To Handle: Spain - Cast & show details
Too Hot To Handle: Spain, also known as Jugando con Fuego, is the first Spanish-language edition of the global reality series. Following the successful formats from the United States, Brazil, Germany, and Italy, the Spanish version features ten young singles who are known for prioritizing physical connections over emotional depth.
The Season 1 cast consists of,
- Cris
- Coco
- Nerea
- Enri
- Luis
- Melania
- Jose
- Andrea
- Noelia
- Saray
Each of them enters the villa expecting a different kind of reality experience—one focused on seduction and flirting. Instead, they meet Lana, the ever-present robotic assistant who sets the rules and keeps track of every infraction. According to Netflix’s June 2025 announcement,
“On June 13th, 10 contestants will come together on Netflix thinking that they have been selected to participate in a fake reality show… But their lives are about to change when they meet Lana.”
Once inside, the group discovers that any romantic or physical activity comes with financial penalties deducted from the shared €100,000 prize fund. Alba Carrillo, who hosts Too Hot To Handle: Spain, is a prominent Spanish TV presenter and model. She began her career as the host of Supermodelo in 2007, a Spanish version of America’s Next Top Model.
Carrillo has since appeared on and hosted numerous Spanish television programs and even competed in Gran Hermano VIP, the local adaptation of Celebrity Big Brother.
More about Too Hot To Handle: Spain season 1
Season 1 of the show consists of eight episodes and is produced by Fremantle España. The show is directed by Paco Novales and executive produced by Mario Briongos, Belén Martín, and Francesco Boserman.
The show’s structure remains consistent with previous international editions: contestants participate in workshops and challenges intended to promote emotional intelligence and self-control. The official trailer, released by Netflix España, shows the cast celebrating on the beach and at the villa before Lana interrupts their plans with the show’s signature reveal.
The core idea of the series is that the contestants can only win the prize money by refraining from physical intimacy. As Netflix explained in the official synopsis,
“A prize of 100,000 euros is on the line for these contestants, who will have to give up on any affection and any possible heat… the prize they aspire to will be reduced every single time one of them breaks the rules.”
Too Hot To Handle: Spain is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
