The ninth episode of Tracker Season 3, which also marked the mid-season finale, was titled Good Trouble and aired on CBS on December 14. The official logline for the episode reads as follows:

When Colter's old friend Keaton asks for help finding his former partner, they uncover a trail of bodies and a conspiracy that runs deeper than they could've imagined.

The recently released episode of Tracker was the first part of a deadly two-parter that marked the return of Colter's old friend and retired cop, Keaton. The concluding part of the case will debut when the procedural returns after its annual winter hiatus in the new year.

The mid-season finale of Tracker Season 3 saw a harrowing case for Colter, who was investigating a dairy farmer's (Clive) murder, while helping Keaton find his missing partner, Nat Dobbs. The case took a harrowing turn when the duo discovered that contract killer Emile Lang is also connected to the case and likely took Nat as hostage. While Lang escaped, Keaton found Nat in a dire condition, in the middle of the road. While Keaton tried to help his dying former partner, he took his final breaths in his arms, after revealing that Lang killed Clive.

Good Trouble ended on a shocking cliffhanger, after Lang shot Keaton and escaped from our rewardist. Just when Colter was headed to the hospital with Keaton, he was also shot from the windshield, sending his car off the rails. The mid-season finale for Season 3 ended on this deadly cliffhanger, with both Keaton and Colter's fates uncertain.

Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw: Like every installment, Hartley's Colter led 'Good Trouble', which saw him team up with Keaton. The episode brought back this fan-favorite duo, which concluded on a jaw-dropping cliffhanger.

Brent Sexton as Keaton: Sexton is one of the most popular recurring characters on Tracker and the latest episode utilized him on an exciting case. Tracker Season 3 Episode 9 marked Keaton's first appearance in the season, where he summoned our rewardist to Tacoma to search for his former partner, Nat Dobbs.

Chriss Lee as Randy: Lee's Randy is another important part of Colter's core gang, who appeared in Tracker Season 3 'Good Trouble'. Randy's hacking skills were on full display in the latest episode, as he helped him at every step to finally reach Lang in the final moments.

Fiona Rene as Reenie Greene: The sharp-witted attorney and another member of Colter's team, Reenie was also in attendance in Tracker's recent episode. The opening moments of Episode 9 saw Reenie compiling a new case for Keaton. She also discovered Nat's harrowing connection with the Armenian crime boss.
