CBS has finally confirmed Tracker Season 3’s premiere date to be October 19, 2025. It was speculated that the superhit show would be back in the fall, just like season 2, and now it is confirmed to return this fall.
Tracker season 3 was confirmed in February 2025 when CBS announced the list of shows that were renewed for a new season. After a gritty season 2 ending where Justin Hartley’s Colter finally uncovered the truth about his father’s murder, season 3 is expected to bring more high-stakes, mysterious jobs for Colter.
More on this in our story.
Tracker Season 3 is confirmed to premiere in October
As mentioned, CBS recently shared on Instagram that Tracker Season 3 will be on our screens on October 19, 2025. In the finale of Season 2, Colton finally found out that Otto had killed his father, and his mother might be involved in the tragic incident somehow.
While talking to TVLine, EP of the series, Elwood Reid, was asked if Tracker season 3 will pick up right from where we left off in season 2, i.e., after Colton discovers his father's death and his mother’s involvement in it. He shared:
"I want to make one clarification: He doesn’t say that Mom ordered the murder of his father. He said, “she asked me to be up there,” so there’s much more to that story to unpack. We’ve talked a lot about this — that life is messy — and I think that Colter’s life is messier than most other people’s lives. I don’t think this is something Colter is ever going to let go of, and I don’t think there’s an easy answer to it."
He continued:
"Even though the finale gives you the next big piece of the puzzle, there’s still more out there to mine in that storyline, particularly when it comes to his mother."
Other than that, Reid also shared about more mysteries to be uncovered in Tracker season 3, and also more to uncover about Colton’s family. He said:
"We’re going to do more of it in Season 3. It’s a long season, so you have to be careful about the way you parcel that stuff out. There’s stuff about his brother, there’s stuff about his sister that we still haven’t gotten into."
He further added:
"There are a couple other cases [we plan to introduce], and there are some characters from last season that are going to come back in Season 3 that kind of shake up his world a little bit, so we’re always looking at building out that well."
