"Trying to get involved": 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Julia tells Brandon about needing some distance from his mom

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9 Episode 7 was released on August 17, 2025. The latest episode of the TLC show featured Julia's parents arriving in the US. For that, she and Brandon went to pick them up.

Before her parents arrived, Julia talked about Brandon's mom, Betty. While in the car, Brandon's mom called the two and talked about Julia's parents' arrival and other things. She said that things were not good between her and Betty since their infertility appointment.

After she hung up, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Julia told Brian:

"Last time that I talk with your mom, we are have a not good spot. She trying to get involved a lot about my infertility appointment. And I need some distance from her."

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Season 9: Julia and Brandon drive to D.C. to receive her parents

Julia and Brandon drove to see her parents. They planned to stay in a hotel and stay there for a day. While going to receive them, Julia opened up about seeing her parents after three years.

In their joint confession, Julia shared:

"For three years, I doesn't see my parents, and now it's time when they will be come here and we gonna hug each other, and I'm so, so deeply inside happy."

Listening to her, Brandon said, hugs from the parents were the best ones.

"Not yours," responded Julia.

While driving, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple talked about the "bad rain" every time they drove to D.C. Brandon's mom, Betty, called him to check on them. When he mentioned they were going to D.C. to receive Julia's parents, his mom said:

"I do wish I was going to D.C. with you! And you know what, I can't wait for them to come to the farm and get to see all the animals."

Julia said that after meeting her parents and spending time there in the D.C., they would go to their home first. After that, they would plan to meet with Brandon's parents. Betty told Julia to give her parents a "big hug" from her.

After talking to her, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Julia talked about Brandon's mom. She told him that the last time she had a conversation with his mom, it did not end well. She recalled it was when she tried to "get involved" in Julia's infertility appointment. Since then, Julia wanted some "distance" from her.

The couple then talked about how Julia wanted Brandon to speak Russian after her parents arrived. She also taught him a line, "Welcome to America," in Russian. Further, Brandon asked her if she had shared anything about their fertility clinic visit with her parents.

In response, Julia said that she hadn't. She also shared the reason behind not telling them about it. She admitted that she didn't want her parents and family members to get stressed.
