In Episode 7, Tae-poong’s journey takes another dramatic turn as he struggles to revive his collapsing business. After being driven away from the fishing dock, he and Mi-seon turn to Cha-ran for help.

He initially thinks the idea wasn't good, but Cha-ran ultimately agrees to support them by arranging a meeting with a ship captain. To everyone’s surprise, the captain happens to have known Tae-poong’s late father.

He agrees to let them use his ship on one condition: someone from their team must be onboard to handle technical issues. Kim steps forward immediately, and the ship gets a captain.

However, the biggest challenge was to transport the shoes without getting noticed. So, Tae-poong cleverly hides the boxes under crates of crabs and fish that were already being shipped. It looked like the plan was going smoothly until the police arrived for an inspection.

Tae-poong didn't panic and instead used his brain quickly. He created a scene using flour, which distracted the police officers and they couldn't inspect what was inside the boxes.

After the smuggling issues had settled down in episode 7 of Typhoon Family, Tae-poong had to face the loan sharks. They attempt to intimidate him, but Tae-poong stands firm, knowing they can’t harm him without risking their own money.

Later in the episode of Typhhon Family, Mi-seon is relieved to see Tae-poong return safely. As the two meet, Tae-poong makes it clear that he likes her, calling Mi-seon "pretty" even when she's all messy and looks mad.

Though Mi-seon pretends to be surprised and asks Tae-poong to take a nap, she feels happy to hear about his true feelings. They walk each other home and their bonds get stronger each time they face something new.

By the end of Episode 7, things finally start to look brighter for Tae-poong. He clears his debts, gifts his friends as a gesture of gratitude, and begins planning a future where he can expand his trading business.

Tae-poong and Mi-seon find new opportunities and conflicts in Thailand

Episode 8 of Typhoon Family brings back Tae-poong and Mi-seon working to expand the trading business. Soon, a manufacturing firm approaches them to handle overseas distribution, and the team explains that they used technology and made safer helmets to protect the wearer.

Tae-poong, impressed by the design and market potential, decides that Thailand would be the best destination for export. He recalls that Thailand was first hit by the crisis and is likely to recover fast.

To carry out the deal, they partner with a Thai company owned by Ma-jin’s cousin. But from the start, the collaboration is overshadowed by Ma-jin’s blatant sexism. He repeatedly tells Mi-seon to stay out of the sales department simply because she’s a woman.

Despite his comments, Mi-seon maintains professionalism. She even refused to take help from Tae-poong when he wanted to defend her showing how strong she is. However, Ma-jin kept his careless behaviour and tried to offer money to a customs officer. He even made Mi-seon cry, but she again controlled her emotions.

Tae-poong later hosted a party, which was soon halted by the police. They arrested Ma-jin for attempting to bribe the customs officer, which is a serious offense in Thailand. This way Ma-jin creates a huge issue for Tae-poong which will ultimately affect the helmet business.
