What happened in Unforgotten Season 6 Episode 3?
In Episode 3 of Unforgotten Season 6, Jesse and Sunny learn that it was Marty who had assaulted Gerry before his death. He used to work in Gerry’s pub and had a good relationship with him due to their right-wing political alignment.
However, the relationship soured after Marty’s father informed him about the Furlough pay that Gerry applied for in his name but kept for himself. When he confronted Gerry, the argument had become heated, and he attacked Gerry.
Besides Marty, the detectives also learned that Asif also knew Gerry, as he was the interpreter for the Dowari family, one of the tenants of Gerry with whom he had a long-standing feud. Further, he was also found to be violent toward even his acquaintances, one of whom he attacked during a Brexit rally.
Furthermore, they also discovered an internet forum named UK United that the deceased had created in 2016. While scrolling through it, they found out about journalist Mel Ricci. In a video, she was seen with Gerry in a pub, which added another name to the suspect list.
The episode also depicted the personal lives of the detectives, where Jesse can be seen forgiving her sister for getting involved with her husband, while Sunny falls for the coroner named Leanne.
