The new Amazon Prime Video series Vought Rising transports viewers back to the 1950s. The unique show's storyline delves into the roots of the Vought Corporation and also looks at the early years of its superheroes, and the popular show, which combines mystery, action, and dark comedy, centers on Stormfront (Aya Cash) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles).

The plot explores Vought's rise to fame and the difficulties experienced by its early heroes, blending a murder investigation with historical drama, and Eric Kripke, the series' executive producer, revealed insights about the outfit design.

Early suits, which reflect authority and structure, were inspired by military uniforms. Vought's costumes get more flashy and dramatic as he matures, symbolizing the commercialization of superheroes. Each suit was painstakingly constructed, replete with specific decorations and insignia, to make the supes visually distinct and period-appropriate.

Kripke also hinted at a potential relationship with Gen V, and a historical link between the two series may be established if Thomas Godolkin, played by Ethan Slater, appeared as a younger version in Vought Rising. This crossover would allow fans to see well-known characters in different historical contexts, while also expanding the common world. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said,

"If Vought Rising works and we can keep doing more [seasons], I think we'd be insane to not put Ethan Slater's character in that show. He's right there lined up for a younger Thomas Godolkin. We've discussed it."

The prequel is a coming-of-age tale for Soldier Boy, according to Jensen Ackles. His early encounters with powers, personal hardships, and the responsibilities that molded his personality will all be covered in the series. This gives a character more nuance who was previously mostly seen in The Boys' present-day chronology.

The cast consists of Elizabeth Posey, Will Hochman, Mason Dye, Jorden Myrie, Nicolò Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, Brian J. Smith, and KiKi Layne in addition to Ackles and Cash. They work together to vividly depict the emergence of a superhuman empire and its internal strife in the 1950s planet of Vought.

Vought Rising promises a combination of historical background, character development, and superhero action. With a potential crossover to Gen V and an emphasis on Soldier Boy's early years, the series is poised to broaden the Boys world while providing fans with new views, engaging stories, and appealing graphics.
