The team learned that Tandi was not lying about being assaulted in episode 5 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 6. However, she did hide the identity of the clear culprit. When asked by Benson herself, Tandi revealed that she was not assaulted by army cadets or her stepfather, but by his boss, Mark Tucker. Tucker threatened her with her stepfather's job if she revealed it to anyone, and hence she lied.

Tandi was terrified as her stepfather's job was important for the family, as her mother was pregnant, and they needed money. Therefore, she hid the truth about Tucker. Her confession led to Tucker's arrest. However, he was acquitted in court. Even when her assailant was to walk out from there, Seyfried's character was satisfied as she got the courage to reveal the truth and face her perpetrator.

However, at the end of the episode, Benson and Stabler were approached by a woman who told them that she had been assaulted by Tucker six months earlier, giving the SVU unit another chance to bring the culprit to the stand and get him convicted.
