Watson Season 2 Episode 3 recap: John’s relentless pursuit to help Maxine

In Episode 3 of Watson Season 2, the team meets a new patient named Maxine Bowers. She wanted to get treated after a car accident, but the doctors refused to treat her without her parents' permission. However, Maxine or Max revealed that she was a 30-year-old adult and does not want parents' permission to be treated in the hospital, which they don't believe as she looked like a 10-year-old girl.

However, when Mary called John Watson, he checked her teeth and revealed that Max was an adult, but had a rare condition that stopped her from growing after age 10. While Max wants to get treated and continue her trip, John tries to convince her to treat her other medical issues as well.

Elsewhere, Ingrid has rejoined the team and is trying her best to move on from her past mistakes. But that won't be an easy path for her yet.

Watson Season 2 Episode 3 recap: The team encounters a unique case

In Episode 3 of Watson Season 2, we are introduced to a new patient, Maxine Bowers. She was trying to get treated in the hospital, but the doctors refused to comply due to her appearing as a 10-year-old girl. She needs her parents to get her treated, but Max tells them that she is a 30-year-old woman and does not need to take permission from anyone.

However, she does not have any ID to prove, as it was left behind when she was saved by the police after the car accident. Therefore, John is called, and after taking a look at their teeth, he confirms that Max is indeed an adult. As they check up on her, they learn that Max also suffers from lymphoma and needs another surgery, but she refuses.

She just wants to continue her trip and doesn't care about her life much, as she will have to live alone forever due to her rare condition. Further investigation on Max's condition revealed that she actually was suffering from Lupus, but before they could inform her, she had checked out of the hospital.

Watson Season 2 Episode 3 recap: John changes Max's mind

Since she did not have any money for a phone, John was trying to get a hold of Max in Episode 3 of Watson Season 2. After she is arrested for trying to steal a car, John gets notified by his friends in the police force. As Max struggled to breathe, she just wanted to die and did not want to go to the hospital. John convinced her to look forward to life and promised her that give her a reason to live.

Later, he introduced her to a woman who had the same rare condition as Max. She was 41 but looked like an 11-year-old girl. Max's mother had died, which made her take the trip to the lake where her mother had taken her once. She just wanted people around her and did not want to live alone in the world. With John introducing her to someone like her, she might find a friend in the lonely world, and try to live a good life ahead.

Watson Season 2 Episode 3 recap: Ingrid informs Stephens about his depression

Ingrid is back in the mix in episode 3 of Watson Season 2. She has been of great help in the episode, as she was the one who told John that Max was a fighter and gave him the idea to tell her to keep fighting.

She has also been going to therapy. In the episode, a man from her group therapy followed her to offer her to work in his new tech company. However, she promptly declined the offer. She has also started to get along with everyone and talks about Stephen's depression, who tries to laugh it off.
