Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 Episode 7: Ashleigh and Billy discuss the grocery store incident and more
Episode 6 of the Netflix reality show featured Ashleigh and Billy going for their weekly grocery shopping. They learned that both of them had very different food preferences.
Later, as featured on the next episode, Ashleigh initiated the conversation and told her fiancé:
"Shall we talk about the food shop? I'll be really honest. I just felt totally overwhelmed by kind of the way you speak about food. I just have never thought of food the way you have, and it just felt very overwhelming yesterday."
Love Is Blind: UK star Billy accepted that much of his life was "routine."
He also mentioned, because of his job and being into health and fitness:
"I like to, kind of, just have a couple of days where I can have some sort of structure and control my calories," added Billy.
Ashleigh told him that he "controlled" quite a lot of his life. For her, she felt as if he was also "very controlling" about food. On the contrary, for her, food was not controlled.
Love Is Blind: UK star recalled an incident. When she was 13, she was bullied for being like a "beanpole." Since then, she used food in a positive light, and it helped her.
"I got bullied for being that way. I used food in a positive light to kind of help me beef up, put weight on. And that drove my self-confidence to improve and me to be more self-assured. And, you know, I started to, I don't know, like eating more," shared Ashleigh.
After learning what she went through, he didn't want to put any pressure on her. She didn't want to feel guilty for buying chocolates and sweets.
However, it had already started. She confessed that she felt guilty of having it, and it was difficult for her. The way Billy spoke about food, she said, played in her mind a little bit.
He also told her that he would drop everything to spend time with Ashleigh. Because he wanted to spend time with her. Even though it would be related to his fitness and going to the gym, she would be above "anything and everything else."
He noted that he wanted to keep trying and move forward. Ashleigh responded that they should give it a go. In her private confession, she shared that hopefully they would be able to align their mindsets.
