"We just pick off the other members": Survivor Season 48's Eva reveals her strategy ahead of the finale

Survivor Season 48 Episode 12 aired on May 14, 2025, on CBS. Ahead of the latest episode release, the show's Instagram released sneak peeks for the audience to know more about the intense situation that might arise after another elimination.

One of the sneak peeks features Eva Erickson and Mitch Guerra. While Mitch confesses about making a move Eva mentions securing her team's safety was more important than that of her own safety. She also talked about the idol she posses and how she is part of a "strong alliance" on the show.

The female cast member confessed to the cameras about how they (She, Joe, Kyle, and Shauhin) can "pick" other members.

"I feel really good about my position. I have a strong alliance that now is in the majority with Kyle, Shauhin, Joe, and myself that's four out of six. So it should be pretty cut and dry we just pick off the other members," confessed Eva.

In the latest Survivor Season 48 Episode 12 episode, Mitch talked about how he has been eagerly waiting to be a part of the Final Six. After that happened, he had been thinking about making a "move."

"I was really adamant about getting to 6, and here we are at 6. I have been waiting to make a move, and the time is now," he confessed.

On the other hand, Eva confessed about having the "safety" but she didn't use it because she didn't want to use ot for her "own" safety. She talked about her "entire team's" safety because it was more important for her.

The Survivor Season 48 female cast member confessed to the cameras:

"We're like the size of an OG tribe. This tribal council was the last time I could use my safety without power, and I opted not to use it. Securing the safety of my entire team is more important than securing my own safety, but I still have an idol in my pocket, and from what I know, I'm the only one with any additional power."

She talked about feeling "good" about her position in the competition because she was part of a "strong alliance." It included Kyle, Shauhin, Joe, and her. So there were only two teammates who were not in alliance with them. For them, she mentioned it would be "pretty cut and dry."

The reason behind Eva's strategy was to "pick off" other players because their alliance had the numbers. In the episode, the show host asked Eva about the shift from "an us" to a "me." She responded that her game had not shifted to a "me" and that she still saw an "us."
