Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 has the fans on tenterhooks, and ‘Holly the Heroic’ is at the center of it all. While Holly hardly had any presence through the first four seasons of the hit Netflix series, Season 5 has her shining brighter than ever. Holly is assumed to be around nine or ten years old in the new season. The role of Holly was previously portrayed by Tinsley and Anniston Price in Seasons 1 to 4. For Stranger Things Season 5, Nell Fisher took over. She was about 12 years while filming for the series. How old is Holly Wheeler in Stranger Things Season 5?When Holly was first introduced to the audience in Season 1 set in November 1983, she was about three-years old. So, technically she should be about seven in November 1987, when the events of Stranger Things Season 5 take place. But she appears way older. One of the reasons could be to ensure that she fits the more action-driven narrative. When we first see Holly in Stranger Things Season 5, we find her interacting with a mysterious friend she refers to as Mr. Whatsit, based on the book called A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle. Karen is worried about her daughter being too old to have an imaginary friend. Things take a shocking turn when Holly is attacked and kidnapped by a Demogorgon from the Wheeler household. The whole sequence also unfortunately leaves her parents gravely injured. However, instead of finding her in the upside down we have been familiar with all along, Holly is seen in Creel house with Henry (played by Jamie Campbell Bower) in a blue dress and cloak. It is revealed that Mr. Whatsit is in fact Henry aka Vecna in his human form. And she is currently stuck in one of his memories. The rest of the squad are on a frantic hunt to find and rescue Holly, unaware that she stumbles upon none other than Max (played by Sadie Sink) in one of Vecna’s memories. While Max is able to keep her in a temporary safe haven within Vecna’s mind, it remains to be seen if they are able to escape to the real world in Volume 2. Matt Duffer said,“Once you see the full season, you'll have a better understanding of why it was so important to add her to the cast. One of the reasons was, we just wanted to recapture some of the feeling of season one, and some of that you can't recapture unless you have kids, because our kids are not kids any more. They're not close to being kids any more. So it was really fun to add Holly and her classmates into the show, because it allowed us to recapture some of that feeling." So you always want to allow room for things to change and evolve and grow.”Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 is available on Netflix. Volume 2 will release on December 25th, and the finale is slated to air on December 31, 2025.ALSO READ: Does Max wake up in Stranger Things Season 5?
