Ironheart's Parker Robbins claims to rob only the rich and powerful, but there's more to him than what we see of him in the first three episodes. Throughout the first three episodes, we see and hear the name of one tech company, Artworks. The CEO of Artworks is Arthur Robbins. Both Arthur and Parker share the same last name because the former is The Hood's father.
However, it seems that the father and son don't share a good relationship, and thus, it seems that Parker Robbins's endgame is to strip his rich father of his wealth as revenge. However, it should be noted that this is just a speculation and not confirmed by the makers of Ironheart. For now, all we know is that Arthur is Parker's father.
Who is Ironheart's Arthur Robbins?
Paul Calderón is playing Arthur Robbins in the Disney+ miniseries, and we saw glimpses of him in the first three episodes of Ironheart. Parker and his gang (unknown to everyone except for John) are targeting his father's business partners. This becomes clear in the second episode, "Will the Real Natalie Please Stand Up?" Parker blackmails one of Arthur's business partners into hiring him and his team.
Thus, it seems like Parker is trying to get back at his father for a yet-to-be-revealed reason. This is different than the comics where Parker shared a healthy relationship with his father, but the latter died very early. Thus, a young Parker had to take care of his ill mother. Taking care of his mother's medical needs is why Parker becomes a criminal in the comics.
The next three episodes of Ironheart may expand upon Parker's past and explain why he is determined to tear down his father's empire.
Arthur Robbins might've abandoned Parker and his mother before the events of Ironheart:
Arthur might have had an affair with Parker's mother, but he might've abandoned her and their son to suffer their own fates. A bitter Parker might want to get back on his father abandoning him and his mother, who is sick and requires constant and expensive medical care. Thus, Parker might've accessed the demonic entity seen in the third episode and sold his soul to it in exchange for the mystical hood.
However, it needs to be said that as of now, Parker's past is not confirmed by the miniseries. But if the series were to follow, Parker's tragic past with his sick mother, then the series seems to be hinting that the MCU's Hood is a scorned son who wants to get back at his absentee father.
"Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, Marvel Television’s “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos)."
