Netflix's thriller series Black Doves Season 1 has just six episodes, and interestingly, enough to pack a gripping plot filled with intriguing twists and suspense. The series kicks off in London during the festive Christmas season, where a woman named Helen appears to have it all.
However, little did her politician husband know that Helen once had a lover who tragically died, and she had been working as a secret spy for almost ten years. She's one of the highly skilled spies in the secret organization Black Doves and unravels dark secrets of the government and the criminal underworld.
Helen is trying to find answers about her lover Jason's death, and during her quest, she also struggles to balance her personal and professional life. Despite her secret life, Wallace never doubted his wife—until Agnes O'Casey's character entered the picture.
Known for her role in BBC One drama Ridley Road, actress Agnes O'Casey plays Dani in Black Doves. She's introduced as a regular assistant for Wallace Webb, but as the series progresses, Dani's multi-layered character comes to light.

Exploring Agnes O'Casey's role as Dani in Netflix's Black Doves
Agnes O'Casey's Dani appears in the Black Doves Episode 3 "The Coming Night" during a party, where Wallace introduces her to Helen. She's a regular assistant whose connection to Helen Webb and her husband, Wallace, makes her an important part of the story.
Initially, her relationship with Wallace hints that there’s more to her than meets the eye, adding to the mystery surrounding her actual role. As Helen struggles to manage her role as a spy and a devoted wife, Dani utilizes this opportunity to get closer to Wallace and pose a threat to Helen.
As seen in Episode 4 "Go Bang Time", Dani tells Wallace that she has heard a rumor about Helen. At first, she refuses to reveal it, but after Wallace repeatedly asks her, she questions Helen's loyalty.

Dani says "She [Helen] is unfaithful to you. It was an affair, some civil servant", trying to expose Helen and separate her from Wallace. However, Wallace dismissed the rumor about his wife, but deep down, it might still cross his mind.
By the end of the fourth episode, it's clear that Dani isn't just a regular co-worker, but someone important sent to threaten Helen. It turns out that it was Mrs. Reed, the boss at the Black Doves who hired Dani to replace Helen.
After discovering the truth that Danis is also a Black Dove, hunger for power in the world of spies, Helen confronts her in Episode 5 "The Cost of it All". The two had an intense fight, in which Helen almost killed Dani but she let her go saying Helen Webb doesn't stab girls on Christmas Eve.
Will Agnes O'Casey return in Black Doves Season 2?
Yes, Agnes O'Casey is expected to reprise her role as Dani in Black Doves Season 2, Keira Knightley shared in an interview with Variety that Helen wants to kill the new Black Dove, as she not only tried to kill her on Chrismas Eve, but also seduced he husband Wallace Webb. The actress was asked about Helen's plan in season 2, to which she replied:
"I want to kill Dani. I don’t think it’s OK that she tried to f**** my husband and kill me on Christmas Eve."
She added:
"So [Joe and I] are having a very funny text line at the moment where I’m basically saying, “Let me kill Dani.” And he’s like “Errr.” I’m going murderous, and he’s like, “No, wait a minute!"
Considering Dani's ambition to become a Black Dove, she might still try to eliminate Helen and end up getting killed. Or, it might be possible that she joins forces with Helen and learn from her. Since her storyline isn't confirmed, it would be intriguing to watch Dani's fate in Black Doves Season 2.
