Charles Nieuwendyk is returning to television screens with A Man on the Inside Season 2. When the comedy series premiered on Netflix last year, it was loved by the audience for its hilarious yet intriguing storyline.
Ever since, fans have been waiting for the show’s return, and the wait is going to end soon as A Man on the Inside Season 2 premieres on Netflix on November 20, 2025, at 12 AM PT.
In the new season, Charles Nieuwendyk, played by Ted Danson, has yet another challenging case at hand. This time around, he is headed to his daughter’s alma mater, where a precious laptop has been stolen.
A Man on the Inside Season 2 release date and time
Netflix has confirmed the release date of A Man on the Inside Season 2 as Thursday, November 20, 2025. Like other programs on the platform, this show will premiere at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET. The season will feature eight episodes, which will be released at the same time internationally.
At a time when streaming shows take years to return, the comedy series has achieved the rare feat of churning out two seasons in two years. The first season came out a year ago on November 21, 2024.
To watch the series, you will need an active subscription to Netflix. The streamer costs $7.99 per month for the Standard with Ads plan, $17.99 per month for the Standard plan, and $24.99 per month for the Premium plan.
What to expect from A Man on the Inside Season 2?
After solving the case of the stolen ruby necklace at Pacific View Retirement Community in San Francisco, Charles Nieuwendyk is on to his next mission. He has to investigate the case of a stolen laptop worth $400 million at Wheeler College, which happens to be his daughter’s former college.
However, matters soon get complicated as he falls for a woman who is the prime suspect in the case. Talking about what to expect from Charles in the new season, creator Mike Schur said in a statement to Tudum:
“Ted’s magic is that there is no limit to the range of possibilities when he’s playing a role. Charles has to do physical comedy and be a goofball, and he also has to plumb the depths of his human experience to get to some essential truth about what it means to be a 75-year-old human being on earth.”
The show brings back Ted Danson as Charles Nieuwendyk. He is joined by Lilah Richcreek Estrada as Julie Kovalenko, Mary Elizabeth Ellis as Emily Nieuwendyk, Stephanie Beatriz as Debra 'Didi' Santos Cordero, and Stephen McKinley Henderson as Calbert Graham.
