What is Tracker about?

Tracker is an action-drama series on CBS that follows the life of a lone-wolf survivalist, Colter Shaw. He is a "reward seeker" who travels across the U.S. to find missing people and solve mysteries for private citizens and law enforcement agencies, all while dealing with his complicated family background.
Colter lives in his RV, traveling from case to case and hoping for cash rewards to be his salary for the investigation. Typically, each episode features a different person’s disappearance case, where Colter uses a mix of intuition, surveillance, and survival skills to uncover the truth.
The series offers a storyline that is a mixture of the weekly cases, focusing on Colter’s difficult past, the death of his father, and the conflicts with his family members, mainly his mother and estranged brother Russell.
Tracker Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger: Colter Shaw discovered that his mother was the one who instigated the murder of his father, Ashton Shaw. The burden of this truth blocks Colter’s thoughts as he tries to uncover the truth, tensing the already delicate family bonds and increasing the emotional stakes for the Shaw siblings.
Tracker Season 3 opener is The Process, where Colter has to cope with the consequences of knowing his mother was involved in his father’s death.
Jensen Ackles is back in the character of Russell Shaw, whose reunion with Colter is connected to the quest for the missing wife and daughter of a client named Reenie. The siblings get caught up in a perilous sequence of events connected to an illegal scheme called The Process.
Initially, the main plot will center on the brothers’ grappling with their father’s enigmatic past, exploring themes of distrust, family inheritance, and psychological trauma.
Tracker Season 3 is expected to stick to its usual mixture of procedural and serialized storytelling: each week, Colter employs his survival techniques not only to find the missing people but also to gather information regarding his family’s past.
