Heroes Next Door is the latest K-drama to be released this week. Premiered on Monday, November 17, 2025, the comedy thriller K-drama follows the story of a group of former special forces soldiers who gather together to protect their own neighborhood.

Starring Yoon Kye-sang, who was previously seen on Netflix's hit K-drama, The Winning Try, Heroes Next Door will release two episodes every week until December 16, 2025. The K-drama will stream on Genie TV, Coupang Play and will also air on ENA. The episodes will air every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST. A streaming platform for the latest K-drama for international viewers has not been revealed yet.

The latest K-drama, Heroes Next Door, also called UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando, revolves around the story of Yoon Kye-sang's character Choi Kang, a former JDD special forces member, who lives in Changri neighborhood and now works as an insurance investigator. He is joined by several other characters from the Changri neighborhood, who gather together to protect their neighborhood and their families.

The K-drama premiered on November 17, 2025, and will air new episodes every Monday and Tuesday until December 16, 2025, when the series wraps up. It will air at 10 p.m. KST on the ENA network. Additionally, the episodes will also be available to stream on Genie TV and Coupang Play. However, the international platform for teh K-drama streaming has not been confirmed yet.

With 10 episodes, the K-drama will narrate the story of how characters who were not interested in protecting anyone get entangled in doing it for their own people and neighborhood.

Along with Yoon Kye-sang, Heroes Next Door also stars popular Korean actor Jin Sun-Kyu, who plays Kwak Byeong-nam, another former special forces soldier who worked in the HID counter-terrorism unit and is now the President of the Youth Association of Changri Neighborhood. Sun-kyu and Kye-sang have previously starred in the popular Korean Movie, The Outlaws, in 2017. While talking to The Korea Times, Sun-kyu talked about sharing the screen with Kye-sang again and said:

"It feels like we were destined to work together. For this series, just like we did with 'The Outlaws,' we gathered and practiced together. Because we practiced with each other, filming on set went incredibly smoothly."

The latest K-drama also includes Kim Ji-hyun, who portrays Jung Nam-yeon, a supermarket owner and used to work as a special force unit instructor, Lee Jung-ha's Park Jung-hwan, an engineering student from Seoul University, and Ko Kyu-pil as Lee Yong-hee, a martial arts training gym owner and a cyber operations soldier, among numerous others.

The K-drama will feature a compelling thriller comedy series, which will depict the camaraderie between this group of characters while they try to protect their community.
