When most people die, their loved ones grieve, cry, and fall apart at the funeral. But Wednesday Addams is different. She actually enjoys attending funerals and even hopes that when her own time comes, her death will be just as intriguing as she is.

In Season 2, Part 1’s ending, that fascination with death hits dangerously close. Tyler, also known as the Hyde, hurls her out of the asylum in a violent attack, leaving Wednesday with serious injuries and slipping into a temporary coma.

While our gothic heroine narrowly escaped death, several other major characters weren’t so lucky. Here’s a look at all the shocking deaths in Wednesday Season 2.

1) Laurel Gates (Marilyn Thornhill)

The woman who unleashed the Hyde inside Tyler was none other than Nevermore's former teacher, Marilyn Thornhill, whose real name is Laurel Gates. While she succeeded in her plan in Season 1, Wednesday ensured Laurel and Tyler's defeat.

Now in Wednesday Season 2, both Laurel and Tyler were kept in the Willow Hill Asylum, where Laurel met Tyler, saying Mama is back. However, Tyler ended up there because of her, and even reminded Laurel that she's not her mother but the master.

In the final moments of Season 2 Part 1, Tyler is unlocked and gives Laurel a last chance to run. However, he finally catches up to her and kills her. The reason why Tyler killed Laurel is that she's the root cause of all the chaos.

2) Sheriff Donovan Galpin

Another major death in Wednesday Season 2 is that of Sheriff Donovan Galpin, Tyler’s father. His death comes as a shock, as few would have expected him to be killed off, especially after he had been helpful in Wednesday’s investigations and had even begun to believe her.

The one responsible for Galpin’s death is the Avian, a woman born a Normie, whose father carried out experiments on Outcasts and even launched a secret program known as L.O.I.S., which Donovan had been investigating. He wasn’t working alone, though.

A private investigator had been helping him, but they too met the same grim fate. Both were killed by a swarm of crows, the vicious creatures gouging out their eyes and leaving them to die in immense pain.

3) Dr. Rachael Fairburn

At first, it might look like Fairburn is an evil character, but the Season 2 Part 1 finale proves him wrong. Dr. Fairburn was also looking after Tyler, trying to calm him down and control the Hyde inside him.

She even asked Laurel if she could help her treat Tyler, but Laurel didn't help much. In Episode 4, Wednesday frees the outcasts who were locked up for experiments and other patients at the asylum including Tyler.

And since everyone was getting out, how can we not expect Slurp to act up? He kills that guard first and ends up in Dr. Fairburn's office, where he eats her. This way, Dr. Rachael Fairburn meets in the end in Wednesday Season 2, Part 1.

4) Augustus Stonehurst

Soon after killing Dr. Fairburn, Slurp eats Augustus Stonehurt's brain. In Season 2, Augustus is a new character, but tied to Nevermore and LOIS. He was a professor at the academy who ultimately found the secret program, LOIS, and began experimenting on the outcasts.

The ones who became the subjects of the studies were taken to the secret locker in Willow Hill, while the rest of the Outcasts belived that they had all died. Augustus Stonehurt was behind all this and paid the price for his wrongdoings.

A few seconds before his death, Slurp calls Augustus "Old friend", hinting that he might have done something more evil against the Outcasts. After all, the Netflix series is all about mysteries and deaths.

5) Ron Kruger

Fans meet Ron Kruger in Wednesday Season 2 "Call of the Woe" where the Outcasts go camping at Jericho. As they are about to begin the activities, the Phoenix cadet master shows up with his team.

Those Normies have also booked the camp on the same day, which leads to a battle between Normies and Outcasts. As expected, Wednesday ensured her people win, but Kruger is also a stubborn leader.

He does not leave the camp and secretly plans to evade the camps. When he enters Pugsley's tent, Slurp welcomes Kruger and soon eats him up. This way, poor Rong Kruger dies.
