The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the prequel of The Terminal List, brings back some iconic characters from the original show and also introduces a slew of new and fascinating characters.

The Prime Video action thriller delves into the past of Ben Edwards, exploring how he went from being a US Navy SEAL to a CIA operative. One of the most interesting characters who has appeared in the show is Jed Haverford.

Played by Robert Wisdom, Haverford is a CIA Iranian Operations Division spymaster in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. He plays an integral role in the team’s missions. His past as a soldier and a bombing survivor makes him a multi-layered personality.

Haverford is a CIA officer in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf

Jed Haverford is introduced in The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Episode 2 as a CIA officer who has spent years working in the secret world of intelligence. He first shows up in Germany, right after Ben Edwards and Raife Hastings are forced out of the Navy SEALs following a failed mission in Mosul.

While both Edwards and Hastings feel lost and disgraced, Haverford steps in and offers them a new mission against Danawi, an arms dealer. He tells them that he needs them to work as shooters. Owing to his experience in the intelligence field, he knows that civilian life will never satisfy men like Edwards and Hastings.

Haverford then begins to show them a new path outside the military. He gathers a small team for them by recruiting Eliza Perash, a skilled Mossad veteran, Tal Varon, a tech and communications expert, Mohammed Farooq, an Iraqi Special Operations Forces member, and Ish Reinhart, a former Green Beret.

The group starts to function like a family. However, they do not have ties to any single country and only follow Haverford’s vision. But as the missions get riskier, his leadership is tested again and again. After Danawi’s capture reveals a nuclear conspiracy, and Ish is killed in Budapest, Hastings starts to doubt Haverford’s leadership.

His doubts prove to be true soon as Eliza and Tal betray the team. In The Terminal List: Dark Wolf Episode 4, Haverford learns that his phone has been hacked by his supposed allies, realizing that Eliza and Tal may have been working for Mossad all along. Hence, his team begins to collapse.

There are some hints about Haverford’s past in the show that explain his actions. He is still haunted by the 1983 Beirut bombing, and he does not want history to repeat itself. But his obsession with his missions makes him oblivious to the fact that he has hired traitors.
