PBS's feel-good dramedy, All Creatures Great and Small Season 6, is all set to release this Sunday.

It will take a three-year leap from the events of the Season 5 finale. Season 6 will take us to May 1945, with the war almost over, except for certain changes.

For starters, the Herriots' family has grown from three to four. Helen and James now have an adorable daughter, Rosie, while Jimmy now takes on the role of an elder brother. Mrs. Hall is back at Skeldale House after spending time with her son. Siegfried has grown a bit older, a bit more forgetful, and most importantly, a bit more irritable. And for Tristan, he might have a new love interest. Yes, the trailer teases a little sneak peek moment between him and Charlotte Beauvoir. So who's Charlotte?

Charlotte Beauvoir (Gaia Wise) is a pivotal character in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6. She's a kind and humble soul, and it seems like she comes from privilege. Her father is General Beauvoir, who is portrayed by Jonathan Hyde. In the trailer, we see Tristan arguing with Siegfried to take on a case. Turns out, it's about Charlotte's horse Phillbrick. The attraction is evident, now whether Tristan finds his true love this season or not remains a mystery.

Charlotte might be a fresh face on the PBS show, but she's no newbie in the industry. Why? Gaia Wise, who plays Charlotte Beauvoir in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6, is the daughter of Greg Wise and Emma Thompson. Here's more about her.

Samuel West on working with Gaia Wise in All Creatures Great and Small Season 6

Samuel West, who plays Siegfried Farnon on All Creatures Great and Small, told The Manchester Evening News,

"There was one scene where I was walking alongside her, talking, and she looked so like her mum. I did two films with Emma in the early 90s, so that was really weird. It was like suddenly being 30 to 35 years younger. And because Gaia’s really terrific – her mannerisms, or something she did, or some look she gave the ground – just took me back. It was very odd indeed. She’s terrific, and I hope we stick with her."

West previously worked with Emma Thompson in two projects (Carrington and Howard's End). Thus, working with her daughter decades later brought back happy memories of the past. All Creatures Great and Small Season 6 features Nicholas Ralph, Rachel Shenton, Callum Woodhouse, Anna Madeley, and Samuel West, to name a few. It will release on Sunday, January 11, 2026, on PBS Masterpiece. It will be available to stream from 9 PM ET onwards.
