The Dead Girls tells the story of two sisters who go from being brothel owners to gruesome serial killers. What makes the show even more interesting is that it is based on true events that happened in Mexico in the 1960s.

A number of girls die at the brothel due to the sister’s reckless actions. Meanwhile, the enforcer of their cruel rules is Skeleton. Considering the importance of the character in the story, fans are wondering who Skeleton is in The Dead Girls.

Skeleton is the caretaker of the brothel who works closely with the Baladro sisters, Serafina and Arcangela, and becomes their most loyal helper. Over the course of the show, she goes from being a caretaker to a strict enforcer.

All about Skeleton in The Dead Girls

Skeleton, whose real name is Juana Cornejo, is one of the most intriguing characters in The Dead Girls. While Serafina and Arcangela build their empire in the brothel, Skeleton is the person who enforces their rules inside the house.

Skeleton is initially a caretaker and organizer. She manages the rooms for clients, handles the accounts, and ensures that the brothel continues to function without disruption. She even shows a softer side at times and expresses concern for the girls.

While she has a maternal instinct, Skeleton has to make some brutal choices while following the orders of the sisters. Over time, she becomes more than just a helper and starts ensuring that the women obey all the rules of the house.

Skeleton shows her dark side when Blanca gets paralyzed after an abortion goes wrong. The sisters refuse to pay for her hospital care. Skeleton tries to fix her by pressing a hot iron against Blanca’s body, hoping that it will bring back her sensations, but the move ends up killing the poor woman. The incident shows how far Skeleton is ready to go for her job and how cruel she has become.

After Blanca’s death, Skeleton becomes even more ruthless. She punishes girls who disobey, helps cover up deaths, and takes part in violence inside the brothel. While Serafina and Arcangela serve as the masterminds, Skeleton carries out their orders.

When the police finally investigate the sisters, Skeleton’s crimes are exposed too. She is blamed for Blanca’s death, for unsafe abortions, and for helping the sisters control the women. The court finds her guilty of murder and negligence and sentences her to 20 years in prison.

What makes Skeleton different from others in The Dead Girls is that she never turns against the sisters. Many of the girls testify against Serafina and Arcangela to save themselves, but Skeleton stays by their side until the end. The loyalty towards criminals eventually ruins her life, and she ends up in prison.
