Hulu's animated sci-fi series, Solar Opposites, premiered on May 8, 2020, and has recently dropped its sixth and final season on the streaming platform on October 13, 2025. The fan-favorite series follows a family of aliens who crash-land on Earth and are forced to stay.

Led by a Shlorpian scientist called Korvotron Opposites or Korvo, the four aliens, Terry, Yumyulack, Jesse, with Korvo, try to fix their spaceship to leave the Earth. In the first three seasons, Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Solar Opposites, voiced the main character, but since Season 4, English actor Dan Stevens has been voicing the character. For voicing the character, Stevens has also been nominated for Annie Awards.

Currently, English actor Dan Stevens voices the character of Korvo in Solar Opposites. It is one of the main characters in the adult animated series and is described as antisocial. The highly intelligent Shlorpian scientist is often seen rejecting assimilation with humans and hates Earth. Therefore, want to leave the planet.

However, over the years, we have seen him sometimes trying to socialize, on Terry's insistence, and have fun. Fans loved Stevens for portraying the grim and cold character, for which he also received several accolades. However, this isn't the only acclaimed character that the London-born actor has played over the years.

Born on October 10, 1982, and was interested in acting from a young age. He was trained at the National Youth Theatre, London, and later went to Cambridge for graduation. Apart from his elite school education, Stevens has shown his versatile acting by portraying various characters, ranging from good guys to bad and even supernatural characters.

He began acting in 1999 and appeared in theatre roles such as Shakespeare's As You Like It in 2004 and Hay Fever in 2006, and TV shows such as The Line of Beauty and the BBC's Sense and Sensibility in 2008, which garnered praise from critics. After appearing in several other projects, in 2010, Stevens got his international fame when he appeared as Matthew Crawley in ITV's Downton Abbey.

Stevens' Matthew was the distant cousin of the Crawleys. He came from a middle-class background, which resulted in him having to adjust to life in Downton. However, he gradually becomes a part of the family and even falls in love with Mary. Their love story is marred with various challenges, but they still managed to be together until Season 3, when Matthew was killed in an accident. For the role, Stevens received numerous accolades.

Other than this, Stevens also delved into the superhero genre with FX's Legion, where he played a schizophrenic mutant, David Haller. The English actor was praised for his performance due to his efforts to make his character appear not just as a mutant but also to depict the character's inner struggles, making it more grounded.

Other than Solar Opposites, he also lent his voice to other TV shows such as Love, Death & Robots and LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past.

Beyond Solar Opposites and Downton Abbey

Apart from TV shows, Dan Stevens has also been part of numerous popular movies. He is recognized for the live-action film Beauty and the Beast, where he portrayed the Beast. The movie also starred Emma Watson as Belle and Luke Evans as Gaston.

His performance in the thriller film Guest is also among the best works in his filmography. Other popular films in his career include Apostle, a gothic horror film that shows the range of the English actor. He has also appeared in Godzilla x Kong films.

Stevens was also part of the voice actors in Hayao Miyazaki's The Boy and the Heron in 2023, and has also voiced a character named Admiral Hornagold in the animated adventure film, The Sea Beast.
