CBS’s popular comedy show, The Neighborhood, premiered in 2018. The sitcom had a successful 7 season run and will release its final season in October 2025. The reason behind the success of the CBS show was not only the actors and storylines but also the people who worked behind the scenes, including an important member of the show, Wendell Johnson, who worked as the production designer.
Johnson was an integral part of the comedy show, and therefore, he was paid tribute in season 6 after he passed away in October 2023.
The fan favorite sitcom brings a unique narrative about Max Greenfield’s Dave, who moves to LA with his family. Their new locality has predominantly African American families. This makes their new neighbors wary of them. The show focuses on Dave, who is known for being over-friendly, as his family adjusts and forms unlikely friendships within the community.
