The gripping season 1 finale of All Her Fault reveals Carrie, Milo's kidnapper, to be her biological mother.

Years ago, when the Irvine family experienced the car crash, Carrie and her newborn child were part of it. They both had survived, but Peter and Marissa had lost their child. When Peter got to know about it, he simply swapped the kids without telling his wife or the family to escape the despair altogether.

The revelation sparks deadly chaos, ending with both Peter and Carrie losing their lives. Yet, while justice seems served, Marissa and Jenny’s stories remain unfinished. The investigators, though, doubt that Peter's death is a simple accident. However, due to a lack of evidence, they leave without questioning Marrisa. This suggests that the story has potential to explore more layers; however, Peacock has not announced any renewal.

As mentioned, Peacock has not announced any renewal for All Her Fault. Moreover, a season 2 looks unlikely as the show was designed as a limited series fully adapting Andrea Mara's standalone novel of the same name. Several reports also point out that the story has reached its satisfactory end, further narrowing down the chances of any renewal.

However, the network usually announces renewal after a few weeks of monitoring and gauging the success of the show. Success is often based on viewership, overall popularity, and reviews. If everything fell in the right place, Peacock could consider developing a follow-up or anthology-style sequel, exploring new characters and crimes under the same psychological-thriller umbrella.

If renewed, what could Season 2 of All Her Fault explore?

The finale closes with Marissa and Jenny sharing a rare moment of calm as their children play nearby. Both women, recently freed yet scarred by their partners’ downfalls, face uncertain futures.

If All Her Fault is renewed, it might explore Marissa's journey of rebuilding her company from scratch after the death of her business partner, Colin. She would deal with the world again with trusting anyone feels impossible.

On the other hand, Jenny, meanwhile, focuses on her professional comeback. We can speculate that the success of Logan Lee’s next novel, set to be published under her Blackhorn Agency, could redefine her career. Milo could be older than how we see him in season 1 and be part of the central narrative. These are the arcs that could serve as the emotional anchor if season 2 happens.

Some characters like Brian, Lia and Detective Alcaras' fates are also not known, and season 2 must address the same. Alcaras has a lingering doubt about Peter's death, which could further lead to exploring more dark secrets and another case altogether. Brian might get the potential treatment now and hold a hopeful future; on the other hand, Lia might slide again into addiction and might destroy the little peace this family has earned after the season 1 chaos.
