Will there be a Crutch Season 2? Possibilities explored
In Crutch Season 1, Frank's adult children, Jake and Jamilah, return to live in his house with Jamilah bringing her children with her. Throughout the season, through several funny and wholesome moments, Frank tried to get his son to go back to doing his corporate lawyer job while also teaching his grandchildren about how to ride a subway in New York.
Jamilah told her father she was separated from her husband and did not have anywhere to take the kids to, so she came back to her father's house. At the end of the season, Jamilah's husband, Andrew, sends her divorce papers, making it a shocking cliffhanger. Therefore, due to numerous stories yet to be uncovered and also the cliffhanger, there are possibilities that the show might return for a season 2.
Morgan, when asked about what he would want to see in Crutch Season 2 on a TV Insider interview, shared:
"I want to see my daughter overcome the adversity with her husband. I want to see how that turns out. I’ve never been the type of father to give advice to my daughter, but if you need me, I’m here. I need you to go through this, cause this is life."
Apart from his daughter, he also shared what he would want to see for his son, his grandchildren, and added:
"I need my son… my son is pretty much found, but his cases will be his adversity. And then my grandchildren will grow. I really want to see my daughter find the right one."
When asked about a love interest for his character in Crutch Season 2, Morgan neither denied nor accepted but shared that they have not thought that far ahead, and currently, Frank seems still in love with his wife, who passed away.
Furthermore, Season 1 also did not introduce Andrew, Jamilah's husband, on-screen yet. Therefore, with Season 2 of the comedy series, we might get introduced to the character. During an interview with Us Weekly, actor Jermaine Fowler, who plays Jake in the comedy series shared that Bill Skarsgard would be a good candidate for the role and stated:
"For some reason I thought Bill Skarsgård would be hilarious as your ex-husband."
He further shared that the father of the kids might be a good father, but also has a complicated personality, and at the end stated:
"I don’t know who that person will be but whoever we cast - fingers crossed we get a season 2."
