TVING's K-drama, Dear X, might have wrapped up with the premiere of its final episode on December 4, 2025, but the cliffhanger ending has left viewers to anticipate a Season 2 of the thriller K-drama. At the end of Dear X, Baek Ah-jin's whole world falls apart as all about her crimes and manipulations comes to light.Furthermore, deviating from the webtoon the K-drama is adapted from, the ending leaves room for a sequel with Ah-jin's survival after the shocking accident that killed Jun-seo. However, there is no confirmation about a Season 2 of the popular K-drama. But, as the show kept Ah-jin alive and Do-hyeok trying to look for her, fans of the K-drama hope that Dear X returns for a season 2.More on this in our story. Will Dear X have a Season 2? Possibilities explored View this post on Instagram Instagram PostIn the finale episode of Dear X, Jae-oh sacrifices himself for Ah-jin so that she can use his death to protect herself from her husband, Moon Do-hyeok, whose real intentions came to light in the previous episode. Jae-oh sets up a camera on teh rooftop and makes Do-hyeok's men follow him there so that the camera captures the men hurting him and his eventual death. The footage is sent not just to Ah-jin, who gains the upper hand over her controlling husband, but also to Jun-seo, which prompts Jun-seo to turn against Ah-jin. He then makes a documentary that reveals everything about her life. From the manipulative techniques that she used to reach the position she is in today to her involvement in her father's death, everything is revealed in the documentary. This results in Ah-jin's final downfall as the documentary is shown to everyone right when she wins the Best Actress award in the Blue Dragon Awards, revealing everything about her to the public.Right after that, as she runs away from the event, she meets Jun-seo, who is ready to stop everything by killing them both, and drives his car off the cliff. This ending is very different from the webtoon, where Ah-jin uses Jun-seo nd her daughter to torment the former and take her revenge. But in the K-drama, Jun-seo dies while Ah-jin is seen surviving the accident, making room for a second season. At the end, Ah-jin's psychopathic tendencies are shown for the last time as he climbs out of the car and looks at Jun-seo, who is barely alive, and rather than saving him, she leaves him behind. Elsewhere, Do-hyeok keeps looking for her as only Jun-seo's body was recovered from the scene of the accident. While Season 2 of Dear X has not been officially announced, Ah-jin's survival has sparked viewers' hopes for a sequel that will explore more of her story. For instance, Moon Do-hyeok knows that she has the footage that proves he was behind the death of Jae-oh. Other storylines, such as Jun-seo's mother returning after learning about her son's death and tormenting Ah-jin more, and also Sung-hee coming back to take revenge on Ah-jin after the tragic outcome of her previous attempt to harm Ah-jin.Therefore, there are numerous storylines to be explored, as after Ah-jin's reality came to light, in the end, there might be several people who would want to take revenge for what they had been put through due to her manipulations and also the murders she was linked to.Keep reading Soap Central for more such stories. Also Read: Made in Korea: Release date news, cast, streaming details and more about the upcoming Disney+ K-drama
