Will Good Boy Season 2 happen? Possibilities explored

The K-drama Good Boy made quite an impact when it premiered in early 2025 on JTBC and Amazon Prime Video. The show quickly gained attention with a gripping storyline centered on former national athletes. They trade their sports careers to become members of a special police task force.

Why does Good Boy Season 2 seem unlikely?

The audience’s reaction is also divided. While some hope for the story to continue, others believe it was a perfect end. As seen in the finale, Yoon Dong-ju ensured that Min Ju-yeong was arrested and put behind bars.

In the final moments of Good Boy Episode 16, a guard entered the cell and choked Ju-yeong to death. So, this was the end of the leading antagonist, who was once the king of the biggest criminal empire in Insung.

Could there still be hope for a sequel to Good Boy?

Additionally, if the series finds strong viewership overseas or on global platforms like Netflix or Viki, JTBC might reconsider. Not to forget that Bo-gum and other cast members have strong fan followings—a Season 2 might gain even more popularity.
