Fire Country Season 4 had Vince’s death, Gabriela’s exit, and Audrey’s transfer. So the emotional toll at Station 42 feels like a five-alarm blaze. Naturally, the next big question in the fandom is: Will Jake also leave Fire Country? The short answer is no. At least, not for now. Jordan Calloway himself just put those rumors out, and read on to know exactly what he said and what that means for Fire Country. Jake’s future on Fire CountryJake Crawford has had one of the most tumultuous arcs in Fire Country Season 4. After being passed over for Battalion Chief in favor of Manny (Kevin Alejandro), many wondered if he would quit. He accepted another job before Vince’s death, and was afraid that he’d never rise through the ranks. Calloway said:"He’s going to be OK."He was referring to how Jake ends the episode on a humbler note after learning a harsh lesson about teamwork. The actor teased that the note in Vince’s guitar case will actually bring the trio of Jake, Eve, and Bode closer together. He said:"This new problem is a saving grace for the trio, because while they all deal with these different things in their own right, this is (...) unifying the three of them in order to handle it together."While it looked like the end of Jake’s journey was near, his fire isn’t going out anytime soon. Interestingly, the episode that put Jake’s career in jeopardy also marked Jordan Calloway’s directorial debut. The Fire Country star directed the hour that saw his character lose out on the Battalion Chief role.In his chat with TV Insider, Calloway admitted that Jake was "betrayed" by being overlooked but ultimately gained perspective. "He learns this lesson at a huge cost (...) something that he desired and wanted, but he learns this lesson."His relationships with Eve and Bode also support that redemption. The three of them decided to tell Bode about the letter Eve found that threatened Vince's life and hinted at a secret of his late wife, Sharon, as shown in Episode 4.Calloway explained to CinemaBlend why Jake and Eve made that choice:"But none of us were falling back on somebody. None of us were using anyone to help support. And so when Jake says that decision, it's like, ‘Hey, hold up the trio, The Three Musketeers. You know we need to band together (...) before we go to your mom, because she's also in a terrible state.’"It’s that unity that’s likely to define Jake’s story this season. What’s next for Season 4?
