The Walking Dead has led to multiple offshoots, but audiences are still awaiting the reunion of the original gang. From Daryl Dixon to Dead City, each spin-off of the post-apocalyptic horror drama focuses on a different set of characters from the mothership series.

As all the characters are still very much a part of the universe, a reunion is certainly not impossible. Lauren Cohan, who reprises her role as Maggie Greene in Dead City, has now revealed that there have already been discussions about various characters coming back together for a reunion. She said in an interview with Collider:

“We’ve talked about taking these characters to somewhere where they we eventually do all get back together again and there’s some intersection of the super group. I think it would blow people’s minds. It would blow our minds. It would be the ultimate reunion and the ultimate finish.”

Lauren Cohan says The Walking Dead reunion has been talked about

Several characters from The Walking Dead are still alive in the franchise and have gone on to have their spin-offs. Negan and Maggie headline Dead City, which recently finished airing its second season.

Meanwhile, Daryl Dixon has his own show, which will soon return with its third season. At the same time, there is the miniseries The Ones Who Live, which focuses on Rick Grimes, Anne, and Michonne.

As per Lauren Cohan, all these people can meet at some point in the franchise. However, she added that the reunion will depend on what happens in the individual shows first, for example, as Maggie, she still has a lot to look forward to in Dead City:

“In terms of how long we spend on our story in Dead City, even things we talk about that could happen in another season, it’s such a new take and a new direction that as long as those things get to keep happening then the story is not done. There’s a big light coming for Maggie, that we have in this long-term arc that’s planned for her. So, I definitely want to stay until the light comes.”

The Walking Dead: Dead City revolves around Maggie and Negan, who find themselves in Manhattan. As Maggie searches for her kidnapped son, the two have to face not only the dead but also some dangerous groups. In the second season, they find themselves on opposite sides and have to make some tough choices.

The original series aired on AMC from 2010 to 2022 and became one of the most popular shows of its time. Apart from Dead City, Daryl Dixon, and The Ones Who Live, several other spin-offs in the franchise have also aired over the years, including Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond, and Tales of the Walking Dead.

The mothership series starred Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon, Melissa McBride as Carol Peletier, Danai Gurira as Michonne, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan.
