Tracker Season 2 concluded on May 11, 2025, and given the kind of cliffhanger it ended on, fans are naturally looking forward to the next season already. Well, the good news for them is that Tracker will be coming back for a third season, as it was renewed back in February 2025.
Since its premiere in 2024, Tracker has been quite popular among the audience. The show follows Colter Shaw as he travels from one place to another and solves crimes.
He also has a troubled family history and the Season 2 finale shed more light on it while keeping a number of questions unanswered.

Tracker has been renewed for a third season
As mentioned previously, Tracker had been renewed for its third season. Regarding the renewal of the show, the president of CBS Entertainment, Amy Reisenbach, had said in February,
“This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers.”
Amy further added,
“These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”
While the show has been renewed for another season, there has been no update on the release date yet. While talking about one of the major challenges that Tracker Season 3 will be facing, Executive Producer, Elwood Reid, had told US Weekly,
“I don’t want the show to be phone a friend every week. I think that gets old and Justin is always challenging me on that. He’s like, ‘Do we need to do this? Do I need to call Bobby all the time? Can I do this?”
Talking about the cast and returning cast in Tracker Season 3, Reid further mentioned to US Weekly,
“It’s one of those things where actor availability is always an issue. There have been shows where people don’t even notice [if a character is missing],” Reid noted. “With those dynamics — and in playing with this team dynamics — that’s all stuff we’re going to continue to play with in season 3 as the show evolves.”
Reid also said,
“We’re going to bring back some characters from seasons 1 and 2 — we’re going to see them more and more. There’s been some fun characters that I think are fun to see in Colter’s world [season to season].”
With Tracker Season 3 confirmed, it is only a matter of time before other details like the release date and number of episodes become available.
Tracker Season 1 and 2 can be streamed on Paramount+.
