Justin Hartley returned as Colter Shaw in Tracker Season 2 last year, and now he's all set for the season finale. Recently, in an interview with CBS Mornings, Hartley gave fans a teaser saying, “We drop a bomb”, meaning there will be a major twist or shocking moment in the last episode.

As seen in this chapter, Colter's journey isn't just about finding missing people for reward, but also carrying the emotional weight of family secrets. Since the beginning, the tracker wanted to learn the truth about his father's death and the finale will finally solve the mystery.

As Hartley put it, it's opening "Pandora's box" — there's no going back once the secret's out. However, just as the final episode is about to air, the audience is left scratching their heads. Not over a rescue mission or a surprise twist, but over Reenie Greene's baffling loyalty to Leonard Sharf.

After all the shady things this businessman has done—placing Reenie in life-endangering jeopardy and almost getting her boyfriend murdered, fans anticipated that she would skip out on him. But Reenie refuses to do that in Tracker Season 2.

For a woman with such good judgment and a strong moral fiber, this move comes off as utterly out of character. This has prompted fans and even Colter to wonder: What is she thinking?

Keep reading to dive a little deeper into this confusion in Tracker Season 2.

Reenie Greene has been Colter's go-to lawyer. Whenever the tracker ends up in legal trouble, Reenie is there to help him. As seen in Tracker Season 2, she even expands her role by starting her own law practice and working more closely with Velma.

However, in the latest Episode 19 Rules of the Game, things out out of control. Reenie contacts Colter after Sharf's assistant Francie has gone missing, to find that Sharf has an extensive list of dubious business operations.

From double-crossing an old business partner to concealing the truth about Francie's brother. It all starts going downhill when Reenie gets kidnapped by men connected to Sharf's underworld, and her boyfriend Elliott is shot in the confusion in Tracker Season 2 Episode 19.

Colter manages to save him just in time, and even uncovers that Francie was behind the entire scheme. Still, through all of this, Reenie chooses to keep Sharf as a client. This is the same Reenie who’s turned down cases in the past for moral reasons.

And now Reenie is backing a man who used her to dig up blackmail and then denied all responsibility when things exploded. Her decision not only confuses viewers but also puts her in the crosshairs of whatever trouble Sharf may bring next.

Is Reenie trying to play Sharf from the inside? Or it could've been that she feels indebted to him for helping her save Colter before. Still, this doesn't seem to be a strong reason for her to stick around, which again ignites confusion among fans.

Is Reenie addicted to pressure in Tracker Season 2?

Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie, previously opened up about her character’s mindset and it might help explain her risky loyalty. The actress shared that Reenie "thrives under pressure", whether in a courtroom full of jurors or staring down dangerous men:

"She thrives under pressure. That’s the whole gist of her."

That rush may be why she’s staying near Sharf despite the warning signs in Tracker Season 2. While she might not trust him completely, Reenie could be drawn to the unpredictable chaos he brings, just like Colter is drawn to his dangerous tracking jobs.

But even with her grit and bravery, fans are left wondering: Is Reenie playing Sharf from the inside or playing with fire?

Tracker Season 2 finale airs tomorrow, May 11, 2025 at 8:00 pm ET on CBS, followed by streaming on Paramount+
