“Just so you know, Alex Russo is tougher than you think - and there’s a lot more to come. You’re asking all the right questions. Stay tuned, #WizardsBeyond has got some magical surprises up our sleeves.”

While the entire second season has dropped on Disney+, a few episodes are still remaining to be aired on Disney Channel. Hence, the network might be waiting for the season to finish its television run before announcing its renewal. Meanwhile, Justin and Billie might be going on an adventure to bring back Alex and would again face off against Lord Morpheus. Teasing how Alex’s backstory will be at the center of the narrative in Season 3, David Henrie said in an interview with Decider:

“For this next season, we get to explore, who’s her husband? Where is he? Wait, she got married. What’s going on? So we allude to this love story that happened back in the day. Except now they’ve forgotten each other. So there’s going to be a lot to explore in the third season.”

The third installment is expected to feature David Henrie as Justin Russo, Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, and Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo. Selena Gomez would also make appearances based on the storyline. There might be some new additions to the cast as well, especially for the character of Damian.
