Here's a look at the cast and characters of the Would You Marry Me rom-com K-drama:

Choi Woo-shik as Kim Woo-Joo: Actor Choi Woo-shik plays the lead role of Woo-joo, who is the heir to Myungsoondang, a bakery that has been in his family for over 80 years. As seen in the premiere, Woo-joo is a well-mannered man who crosses paths with Me-ri.

Jung So-min as Yo Me-ri: Unlike Woo-joo, Me-ri is quite a talkative and expressive woman. She's trying her best to forget about her ex and is now focused on faking a marriage with Woo-joo and claiming the luxurious house.

What makes her characters even more engaging is how straight Me-ri is when asking Woo-joo to marry her. This happens at the end of episode 1 of Would You Marry Me, when Me-ri learns that if her husband won't show up to claim the house with her, she will lose it.

So, she calls the new Woo-joo and asks if he's single. When Woo-joo says that he's unmarried, Me-ri takes no time in proposing to him. This is a shocker for Woo-joo as he was earlier beaten up by her, and now she's here with a marriage proposal. This way, the story kicks off, and now the two will begin a new fake journey.

Other cast members who joined Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min in the show include Seo Bum June as the cheater ex, Bae Na Ra as Baek Sang Hyeon as the department executive, Shin Seul Ki as Yun Jin Gyeong, who happens to be a warm and supportive doctor and someone who admires Woo-joo.

The supporting roles are played by Jung Ae-ri, Baek Ji-won, Kim Young-min, Ko Gun-han and more. These characters play an important role during the office scenes and help learn more about Me-ri and Woo-joo's professional relationships.
