The techno-thriller, Mr. Robot, is one of the cult thriller TV shows that is a critically acclaimed global superhit. It narrates the story of Rami Malek’s Elliot, who had serious mental struggles and used to work as a cybersecurity engineer in a company called Allsafe. He is recruited by Mr. Robot to join the fsociety in the fight against E Corp, one of the biggest clients of the company he works for.
The show has a brilliant storyline that depicts the struggles of the characters and also delves into the psychological difficulties faced by the characters. However, the show’s use of technology to move the narrative forward, while also depicting the grievous sides of it, is the highlight of the show. Elliot is known to be a talented hacker who initially uses his skills to learn more about people, to help him connect with them.
Other than that, many more scenes show how the characters use their skills, either to save themselves or for any other activity like breaking someone out of jail. These moments depict exciting scenes about hacking, which might make you want to pursue the same path as Elliot.

You can’t deny these 7 moments from Mr. Robot made you want to learn hacking
7) Elliot infiltrates Steel Mountain (Season 1, Episode 5)

This is one of the finest scenes of Mr. Robot season 1, where Elliot not only uses his program to destroy something of the E Corp or the Evil Corp but also uses his quick thinking to reach the restricted area with the help of Tyrell Wellick, who becomes the human exploit. While Wellick takes Elliot to have lunch with him, he uses Wellick’s ego after he takes him to the common cafeteria for lunch by asking him if Wellick eats there.
This prompts Wellick to take him to the upper level, from where the restricted area is closer, and he successfully infiltrates the data centre with his program, loaded in the Raspberry Pi, and destroys Evil Corp’s back-ups.
6) Elliot hacks Gideon (Season 1, Episode 8)

This scene was the most thrilling in Mr. Robot as Elliot was fighting against time to complete his hack. In episode 8 of Mr. Robot Season 1, Elliot had to hack his own boss, Gideon’s, computer to destroy the honeypot that he had set up to catch the hackers. For that, he had to use Gideon’s phone to log in to his account.
Darlene helped him distract the employees and Gideon by hacking into their social media and smart TV to blast a fsociety video, while Elliot uses those 90 seconds to log in to Gideon’s account. He barely survives this attempt as Gideon is already suspicious of him, but he had to leave due to Evil Corp’s call, giving Elliot enough time to log in to his account and remove the honeypot, making it one of the best hacking scenes of the series.
5) Winning a hacking tournament (Season 3, Episode 1)

Elliot’s hacking skills are no joke in Mr. Robot, and we have seen that numerous times in the series. For instance, in the premiere episode of Mr. Robot season 3, Elliot is hell bent on shutting the back door of Evil Corp, which has stopped Dark Army’s access. However, the whole city is dealing with a power outage, leaving them with only one place to go– the underground hacking tournament.
Elliot and Darlene noticed that there were no computers available, so he did what he does best and ended the tournament by winning it in just two minutes. It is one of the best hacking moments of the series, where Elliot appears as the calm and composed man from the outside, but just wants everyone around him to stop talking. While the others try to figure out how to win, Elliot finishes it to get back to his actual work.
4) Elliot hijacks the internet (Season 2, Episode 9)

This was one of the coolest Elliot moments of showing his skills, of how unconventional his intelligence is when it comes to hacking. In this episode of Mr. Robot season 2, Elliot uses a Pringles can to build what he calls a ‘high-power antenna’ to access someone else's wifi.
Therefore, in this thrilling scene, Elliot hacks from wi-fis to the NYPD’s website, resulting in this scene being one of the best hacking scenes.
3) Angela hacks the FBI (Season 2, Episode 7)

Elliot might be the one who always ends up with the best plan in Mr. Robot, but Darlene was also one of the reasons who helped in the works of the fsociety as one of their hackers. In episode 7 of Mr. Robot Season 2, it was not just the fsociety that she helped as she also guided Angela in providing the codes to hack the FBI.
It was one of the best hacking scenes as Angela successfully hacked through the FBI and deleted their data that could land him in trouble, as one of them had already seen her near the restricted area.
2) Elliot exposes a pedophile (Season 1, Episode 1)

Elliot has always been the do-gooder in this popular TV series. He might not like the people and the world, calling it a prison, but he still has a morality that guides him to use his exceptional hacking skills in doing good for society. That is how Elliot is introduced in the thriller series.
In the premiere episode, Elliot meets with a pedophile and informs him about how he hacked his system and now has all the information on him, including the child p*rnography files that he circulates to other users.
1) Darlene hacks Elliot’s computer (Season 3, Episode 2)

The brother-sister duo from Mr. Robot might be the most intelligent siblings across TV shows, but they can’t always be on the same team, mostly due to Elliot’s struggles. Episode 2 of Mr. Robot season 3 might be one of the most heartbreaking moments between the siblings as Darlene gets to meet the Mr. Robot persona when she stays in Elliot’s place for a night.
But this goodbye between the two does not end well as, apart from being terrified due to Mr. Robot, Darlene also hacks her brother’s computer and gives access to the FBI, to stay out of prison, making it one of the tragic but also a crucial scene where Elliot is fooled by his own sister.
