Things are quickly going out of hand for Jon Hamm's Andrew Cooper in Apple TV's dark comedy series, Your Friends and Neighbors.

What started as harmless stealing from his rich neighbors turned into a full-blown heist and eventually led to a murder investigation after Coop discovered Paul Levitt’s dead body in Sam’s house. The comedy has introduced a murder mystery angle, likely creating problems for the protagonist.

In Episode 6, as the murder investigation proceeded, Coop tried to keep Detective Lin's suspicions about him at bay. While he somehow succeeded, the final moments saw two men attacking and beating Cooper mercilessly, and the fallout will likely play in the upcoming episode.

Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 7 will be released on Apple TV+ on May 16, 2025.

Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 7: Release and streaming details

Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 7 will be released on Apple TV+ on May 16, 2025 at 9 PM ET. Since the show is an Apple original, you need an active subscription to stream new episodes.

Apple TV's basic subscription starts at $9.99/month (with ads) and new users are offered a free 7-day trial period.

Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 7 promises to be a thrilling ride for Coop after the shocking cliffhanger of Episode 6, where two men mercilessly beat him. Since Detective Lin is already after him for Paul's murder, suspicions will run higher after the mysterious attack.

In addition, Coop also saw Christian driving the car that hit Barney in the final moments of Episode 6, and he will likely go after him for hurting his friend. With an ongoing murder investigation against him, things will get even more difficult for Coop, and he will likely try to find out Paul's killer and clear his own name.

What happened in Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 6?

Your Friends and Neighbors Episode 6 focused on the aftermath of Paul Levitt's murder and how Coop tried to drive the Detective's suspicion away from him. While he accidentally discovered Paul's body, he tried his best to secure an alibi by saying that he was at a club alone and later watched a movie with his sister.

While Coop is still the number one suspect, partly because of his fight with Paul at Nick's party, Sam also comes under the radar.

Detective Lin finds out that since the divorce was not yet finalised, Sam would now get a million-dollar worth of insurance after her ex-husband's death, which is a clear motive for the murder.

Amid this investigation, Coop spends some time with his kids and Mel. The ex-couple ends up sleeping together during their visit to Princeton, complicating his relationship with Sam and Mel even more.

The final moments of the episode saw men attack Coop, mercilessly beating him. When Barney sees this and goes to help him, he is hit by a car. Coop sees Christian driving the car, which makes things even more complicated. It would be interesting to see how this plays out in the next episode.
