Beyond the Gates' Anita performs for the first time in decades — are the Articulettes making a comeback?

Last Monday’s episode of Beyond the Gates saw the great Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) warm up her vocal cords and sing one of the Articulettes' greatest hits. Anita was also approached by a talent agent wanting her to pick up the mic again for good. Although Vernon (Clifton Davis) was able to sweet-talk Anita into singing at karaoke night, she seemed dead set on not performing again.

Over on Facebook, many fans commented on the performance with praise and encouragement, with some even asking for the name of the song that was sung on the April 21st episode.

Beyond the Gates...of redemption?

Through more conversation, we learn that Anita misses The Articulettes but doesn’t believe that a reunion is possible due to her mistreatment of the other members, Tracy and Sharon. Is this an opening for new characters, Tracy and Sharon, to make an appearance? Will we see The Articulettes rise again and have the reunion of a lifetime, much to their fans’ jubilation? Or, will Anita's suspicions be confirmed, leading her to never sing again? Well, fans are hoping for the former — very much.

At the very least, fans want an explanation (or the tea!) on just what happened to cause the Articulettes to disband.

Where is the rest of the Articulettes?

Beyond the Gates fan niki_xmith1 said on X, "Either June is Anita’s old bandmate and/or Hayley’s mom." They seem to think that June (Jasmine Burke), who was recently introduced via Detective Jacob (Jibre Hordges), is more significant than her current status would convey. Could June be a long-lost member of the Articulettes? Or Hayley's mother?!

Viewers have many questions, but when will they get the answers they seek? I guess we have no choice but to tune in and see if we'll get the Articulettes back in action, and also just who Tracy and Sharon are.
