It’s hard to look past the moment Anita got the results of her biopsy back. This is a game-changer for Beyond the Gates. I know it’s cliché, but this does change everything. Next week's spoilers show Vernon's reaction to the news; this tense scene between Clifton Davis and Tamara Tunie will be sure to dampen a few eyes out there. It’s such a powerful theme, no matter how many times it’s done on a soap, because there isn’t anyone out here in TV land that hasn’t been affected by being diagnosed with cancer or knowing someone who has. So, how is this the best of the week? The scenes that Tamara Tunie shot of her getting her biopsy done were chilling; you could feel the apprehension and the fear through the screen. It was delivered with such realism that it etched the feelings into our skin. So a bravo on delivering one of the most powerful scenes and stories in such a visceral way.

How did it get to be so close to Christmas already? That sure snuck up out of nowhere. Next week, we have three days of new episodes, then two repeat days on the 25th and 26th of December. The two days being repeated are the two on which Winterfest happens for Fairmont Crest. If you did miss it, a lot was going on, and watching it a second time, you may catch a detail that you didn't see before. Leslie and Marcel locked lips, but is Marcel still trying to lock more than just Leslie’s lips? Or has he fallen under her spell, too? Marcel can’t leave his wife, or when she takes half of the settlement, he’ll be out of luck for an easy retirement on the Sheila in the Caribbean. This and watching Nicole's love triangle, or is it a square now? It should provide plenty of holiday enjoyment nonetheless.
