Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Let's get right to it: I have been waiting for a scene like today's — with Andre and just someone —and having it be with Dani, after all they have been through, was simply magic. We dove deeper into what makes Andre tick, and it was so well-scripted and even better performed. We saw some real heart-tugging emotion from both of them, but what really got to me was the storytelling when Andre talked about his parents, what they meant to him, and how they sculpted him into the man he has become; it was hard to fight the tears back at times. What a fantastic scene —it was exactly what we needed. Andre takes his place among the best on the show today. Sean Freeman must have dug into some corner of his life and pulled out the most raw and real emotions, and he has grown into this character and a favorite of ours forever now.

And sorry to take a trip to negative town, but damn, the episode dived when Ashley saw Derek standing, more to come in a later article today, but seriously, Ashley? “ Tell me you didn't pretend to be paralysed to keep me from Andre? Can we rewrite and say Ashley was in the car with Doug now? Where’s Marcel when you need him?
