Beyond the Gates' Leslie's next move revealed

On Beyond the Gates, Leslie is one calculating, conniving woman, but is her latest scheme actually an attempt to do some good, or does she have an ulterior motive?

What does Leslie want with Tomas on Beyond the Gates?

Leslie is rarely seen doing anything that doesn't further a scheme of hers in one way or another. But Leslie's (Trisha Mann-Grant) meeting with Tomas (Alex Alegria) at Orphey Gene’s at first looked like she was attempting to fight fire with fire — but he saw through that and knew the true purpose of her wanting to meet with him. Leslie called Tomas to discuss being her fixer. What? That's right, Leslie said that the Duprees had Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durett) as their fixer, so why couldn't she have one? Leslie wanted that person to be Tomas. It should be noted that Bill is not the Duprees' fixer anymore, and Tomas is his employee and wants to make partner at the firm that Bill owns.

Tomas sees Leslie's true goal

It didn't take long for Tomas to hear out the extent of Leslie's idea, and flatly refuse. There was no way that Tomas wanted anything to do with Leslie, professionally or otherwise — rightfully. given how many conflicts of interest it would cause.

He is dating Kat (Colby Muhammed), who despises Leslie something fierce and is actively trying to bring her down (see my Y.A.P.P. dated 9th June, 2025), and Tomas also likes and feels protective of Leslie's daughter Eva (Ambyr Michelle). So why would she think that Tomas might agree to being her fixer? She didn't, and the true purpose was revealed: Leslie wanted Tomas to consider dating her daughter.

Leslie explained that she had heard Eva talk about this handsome rising star at Bill's law firm and how wonderful and charming he was. She then told him how he deserved a queen, one who would be the right woman to give him all that he deserved and make him feel loved. Sure, it all sounded good, but was Leslie really looking out for Tomas’ emotional needs? Not at all, this was a move against Kat, pure and simple.

Tomas and Eva pairing up would be a big enough distraction for Kat that she may just give Leslie some breathing room to bring her wrath to bear. Fortunately, (for Kat at least), Tomas wasn't having any of it,. As he left, he told Leslie to lose his number.

So, back to the drawing board it is for Ms. Thomas, but as we know, the police net is falling, and it’s just a matter of time now.
